Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 11: THE LOOP

Ethan didn't move.

The cabin looked normal again.

Too normal.

Passengers sat quietly in their seats.

Some looking forward.

Some resting.

Some completely still.

Like nothing had happened.

But Ethan knew better.

"…Daniel," he said quietly.

"…Yeah?"

"Don't trust what you see."

Daniel swallowed.

"…I already don't."

Ethan nodded.

Good.

Because this was about to get worse.

He turned slowly, scanning the cabin again.

Same seats.

Same layout.

Same people.

But something felt…

Off.

Subtly different.

He stepped into the aisle.

Walked forward.

Everything looked the same—

Until he noticed it.

Seat 17B.

Daniel's seat.

Empty.

Ethan froze.

"…Daniel?"

No response.

Ethan turned quickly.

Daniel was still there.

Right behind him.

"…I'm here," Daniel said.

Ethan stared.

Then looked back at the seat.

Occupied again.

"…What?" Daniel asked.

Ethan shook his head slowly.

"…Nothing."

But it wasn't nothing.

Not even close.

✈️ Something Repeating

Ethan moved toward the front again.

His mind racing.

Trying to connect everything.

Disappearing people.

Frozen time.

Changing behavior.

And now—

This.

He reached the empty seat with the coffee.

Still there.

Still untouched.

Still wrong.

He stared at it.

Thinking.

Then—

The announcement played.

"Ladies and gentlemen…"

Ethan's head snapped up.

"…This is your captain speaking."

Daniel turned quickly.

"…Wait—"

"We are preparing for an emergency landing…"

Ethan's heart dropped.

"No," he whispered.

Not again.

✈️ The Reset

The lights brightened slightly.

Passengers shifted.

Movement returned.

Like something had just… restarted.

People looked confused.

"What's going on?"

"Why are we landing?"

Their voices—

Fresh.

Unaware.

"…Daniel," Ethan said slowly.

"…Do you remember?"

Daniel's face tightened.

"…Yeah."

"…Everything."

Ethan nodded.

Good.

They remembered.

But others—

Didn't.

✈️ Back to Before

The plane wasn't stationary anymore.

It was flying.

Ethan rushed to the window.

Darkness outside.

Endless.

"…We're back," Daniel said.

Ethan didn't answer.

Because he knew.

They were back.

Mid-flight.

Before the landing.

Before the tower.

Before everything.

"…No," Ethan whispered.

"…This is a loop."

✈️ The Pattern

The turbulence started again.

Small at first.

Then stronger.

Exactly like before.

Ethan's breathing quickened.

He knew what was coming.

Every second of it.

"…It's repeating," Daniel said.

"Yes."

"Then we can change it, right?" Daniel asked.

Ethan hesitated.

"…Maybe."

That was the only hope they had.

✈️ Trying to Break It

Ethan stood up suddenly.

"Listen to me!" he shouted.

Passengers turned.

Annoyed.

Confused.

"This flight is going to crash!" he said.

Silence.

Then—

"…Sit down," a man said.

"Don't cause panic."

"It's already happened!" Ethan snapped.

"No, it hasn't," someone replied.

They didn't believe him.

Of course they didn't.

The lights flickered.

Turbulence increased.

Right on schedule.

"…We're too late," Daniel said.

"No," Ethan said.

"We just need to act faster."

✈️ A Difference

The plane shook violently.

But this time—

Ethan noticed something.

A passenger near the back.

Looking directly at him.

Not scared.

Not confused.

Watching.

"…Do you see that?" Ethan whispered.

Daniel followed his gaze.

"…Yeah."

"That wasn't there before."

The man smiled slightly.

Same smile.

From before.

"…You remember," he said quietly.

Ethan's blood ran cold.

"…Who are you?" he asked.

The man tilted his head.

"…You're not supposed to remember."

The plane shook harder.

Passengers screamed.

But Ethan couldn't look away.

"…What is this place?" he demanded.

The man's smile widened slightly.

"…A second chance."

Then—

He was gone.

Just like that.

Ethan's heart pounded.

"That's new," Daniel said.

"Yeah," Ethan replied.

"…Very new."

✈️ Realization

The loop wasn't perfect.

It was changing.

That meant—

They could change it too.

Or—

Something else was changing them.

The plane dropped suddenly.

Screams filled the cabin.

Ethan grabbed the seat in front of him.

"…This time," he said.

"…we don't just survive."

Daniel looked at him.

"…What do we do?"

Ethan stared ahead.

Determined.

"…We find a way out."

The plane shook violently—

And the descent began again.
