Chapter 13 - The First Tear of Death

The silence after Kael's red shockwave didn't last long.

Silence never lasted around the Void Hunters.

Because silence meant calculation.

And calculation meant killing intent.

šŸ’€ THE HUNTERS CLOSE IN

Kael stood at the center of the shattered forest clearing.

Jemila stayed behind him now, her breathing uneven but her stance firm.

Kaelthar wiped blood from the corner of his mouth.

"…You're changing faster than expected."

Nymora tilted her head slightly.

"We should remove him now."

Brakkus stepped forward, cracking his massive knuckles.

"Enough playing."

The air darkened again.

šŸ”„ KAEL DOESN'T BACK DOWN

Kael exhaled slowly.

His red flame eyes flickered.

"…Come."

That single word changed everything.

The forest responded.

Wind reversed direction.

Leaves stopped falling.

Even the ground seemed to tighten.

Kaelthar narrowed his eyes. "He's stabilizing his power…"

āš”ļø THREE-POINT ASSAULT

They moved at once.

Kaelthar from the front.

Nymora from the side.

Brakkus from above.

A perfect kill formation.

Jemila shouted, "Kael—behind you!"

But Kael didn't turn.

He closed his eyes.

šŸ‰ DRAGON VOICE — CLEARER THAN BEFORE

Inside his mind, the dragon spoke again.

STOP REACTING.

Kael whispered mentally, "Then what do I do?"

DOMINATE THE SPACE.

A pause.

YOU ARE NOT INSIDE THE FIGHT.

THE FIGHT IS INSIDE YOU.

Kael's eyes snapped open.

šŸ”„ FIRST TRUE RELEASE

Kael stepped forward.

Not backward.

Not defensive.

Forward.

And the moment he moved—

The air broke.

A red ring exploded outward from his body.

BOOM.

Kaelthar's attack hit nothing.

Nymora's blade sliced empty space.

Brakkus slammed into a distortion field Kael didn't even consciously create.

Jemila froze. "What… is that?"

šŸ’€ KAEL STARTS SEEING DIFFERENTLY

Kael's vision changed.

Not normal sight.

He saw movement lines.

He saw intention before action.

He saw the space between attacks.

Kael whispered:

"…So this is how you see the world."

The dragon answered:

YES.

āš”ļø COUNTER EXECUTION

Kael moved.

Instantly.

First step.

Kaelthar blocked—barely.

Second step.

Kael's elbow struck Kaelthar's chest.

CRACK.

Third step.

Nymora tried to intercept—

Kael twisted mid-air and kicked her away.

Fourth step.

Brakkus roared and charged—

Kael placed his hand on the ground.

Red energy exploded upward.

Brakkus was thrown back violently.

šŸ’€ FIRST BLOOD KILL ATTEMPT

Kaelthar coughed, staggering.

"…So this is your real rhythm."

Kael walked slowly toward him.

For the first time—

Kaelthar took a step back.

Jemila whispered, "Kael… don't kill him…"

Kael paused.

His hand stopped mid-motion.

A flicker of hesitation.

Then—

Kaelthar smiled.

"That hesitation is your weakness."

He lunged instantly—

A hidden void blade aimed at Kael's heart.

🩸 THE FIRST TEAR

Everything slowed.

Kael saw it clearly.

The blade.

The intent.

The kill.

And something inside him snapped awake.

The Bloody Sun mark exploded fully across his arm.

A red tear-shaped symbol formed on his chest.

Kael whispered:

"…No."

šŸ”„ AWAKENED RESPONSE

Kael caught the blade with his bare hand.

It stopped completely.

The forest fell silent.

Kaelthar's eyes widened. "Impossible…"

Kael looked at him calmly.

"…You're slow again."

Then Kael twisted the blade.

It shattered.

And Kael's fist followed.

šŸ’€ IMPACT

BOOM.

Kaelthar was slammed into the ground so hard the earth cracked in a wide circle.

Dust exploded upward.

Nymora and Brakkus froze.

Jemila's eyes widened completely.

"…Kael…"

Kael stood over Kaelthar.

Breathing steady.

Eyes glowing deep red.

For a second—

It looked like something else was standing behind him.

Not fully visible.

But massive.

Ancient.

šŸ‰ DRAGON CONFIRMATION

Inside Kael's mind:

GOOD.

Kael whispered, "What did I just do?"

The dragon answered:

YOU TOUCHED YOUR TRUE LAYER.

Kaelthar lay on the ground, barely moving.

For the first time since the hunt began—

The Void Hunters were not in control.

And Kael was no longer just surviving.

He was awakening fully.
