The village of Rebelbub. To its north were the Rebelbub Mountain Ranges, and to its west was the Rebelbub Lake. To this day, it was blessed with natural resources of all kinds, and was now protected by walls that hadn't existed the day before.
Elias had created those walls. He'd rode his black horse, creating a wall made entirely of dark magic behind him and stretched all the way to Rebelbub Village, since Elias has a massively mana pool. He can make this easily.
As Elias dark magic's walls radius only extended four meters past his point of contact, they were only about that high. High orcs would have had an easy time climbing over them.
They were basically a last ditch effort with the mindset of "Well, it's better than nothing." Like an school project is getting overdue. However, Elias had no intention of letting the battle even reach those walls.
The citizens of Rebelbub Village had all been made aware of the impending monster army invasion. Judging by their speed, Elias guessed their vanguard would arrive by the evening of the next day.
I saw my brother of the distance, creating thick and long walls made entirely from his dark magic, it was incredible. I decided to ask him.
"Brother! What are you doing?" I asked calmly
Big Brother has no intentions of saving this village himself, he would probably leave this village at dawn while the things are settled. But with numerous pleads I created since that day. He decided to help.
"Eirene, I have to tell you something." Elias asks calmly
"Of course."
I replied without hesitation, he was busy creating walls across the village and wanted to say something, so we sat at a nearby log and began our conversation.
"Eirene, do you promise you'll always be my little sister?" He said it calmly, his question was half-teasing, half-hopeful.
"Of course."
"No matter what happens? Even I decide on something you don't approve of?"
"Yes. It's you life overall, I will help you choose the future you want from himself. If you choose not to help even after listening to what I have to say, I won't hold against you, Big Brother."
I stared at brother for a while, trying to determine whether or not she really meant it. The reason he'd been so insistent was because Elias himself didn't want to ever have to fight his little sister.
After confirming there was no falsehood in Elias's gaze, he abruptly turned on his heel and stood up at his log-sized chair.
"Brother?" I asked, surprised
Elias turned around and shrugged helplessly he couldn't ever win against me when I was serious.
"If I'm going to take on an army, there's some things I need to prepare first. Your my one and only little sister"
"Brother, why?" My eyes lit up, Elias smiled awkwardly
"This is what my sister advised me to do. And I'd it'll make these two happy then… I can't just ignore it, can I? Anyways, I'll go beat the shit out of those monsters for you."
After he said that, Elias patted my head cutely, turned around and left to prepare. I saw him riding his black horse at a great distance, I can tell that he is doing his job easily
Also, the thick walls stretched around the Rebelbub Village, is my brother's dark magic, it stretched at approximately a kilometer radius.
Now, I know Elias dark magic very well. He can power his revolver, summon shadow horses, deploying black crows, unleashing dark magic, buffing weapons, change his revolver into a sniper rifle and creating thick walls. He mastered dark magic very well.
There, I confirmed Elias's dark magic. I went on one of his created walls and touched it and was shocked.
"Wait, what material is this, it's hard, but soft on the inside. It reminded me of something like…"
"Roxy, what you're touching is dark magic. You touched light magic, do you?" Plasma seeps on my thoughts
It seems that light magic and dark magic functions the same. White Flower's signature human skill, Light Magic, can buff, cast and provide light very well. Very much the same as dark magic, but more gloomy, darker appearance.
While i was touching the wall multiple times, the Yellow Flower Guild members suddenly walked up to me. Despite their noisy approach. I didn't turn around.
"Good morning, Lady Roxy. Is there anything you need?"
"I'm fine, Natalie. Did all of you finished evacuating the citizens."
"We finished by your task, Lady Roxy. We evacuated successfully all the villagers and guards via boat."
Naturally, the village was in a state of panic. There were those that blamed the mayor and the other village elders for letting this happen, those that broke crying, those that clung to their family in desperation, those that tried to run, and those that started fights amidst the chaos.
Most people couldn't remain calm knowing tomorrow their home would be destroyed and that if they stayed in the village, they'd die. Panic was the normal reason for that.
However, someone managed to calm them down before the village devolved into a full-scale rioting. That someone was my guildmembers. One of my members, Natalie, stood up on a platform in the town square and spoken to the citizens.
Natalie composed the speech a little while ago. Her composed demeanor and overwhelming popularity helped her calm the citizens down to a reasonable level. In a way, Natalie Haro was more powerful than any hero.
"Natalie, what performance you got there? Did you practice that speech?"
"Yes, Lady Roxy. I perfected it with all my heart. I wish you came there."
Because of Natalie. The people were pacified at least, they naturally divided into two groups. Those that couldn't abandon their homes, and were willing to share the village's fate, and those that were ready to flee and call for aid.
A lot of people in the group that chose to remain insisted the woman and children escape at least. They believed Natalie's words that the monsters would be repelled, and the men went around the village looking to see if there was any way they could help, while the woman and children prepared to run.
The town remained brightly lying deep into the sun, illuminating groups of people crying as they parted with their loved ones.
"Natalie, what happened to the remaining civilians? Are they okay?" I said
"Lady Roxy, those that were fleeing packed their things and left before the sun rose. Those that remained were swapping between sleeping in groups. Most of those that remained did so because they believed their goddess and her friends would deliver them salvation somehow."
That being said, they weren't just blindly praying. They were too doing everything they could defend their home. Some villagers agreed to help Elias construct the walls, but they didn't contribute to anything and are considered worthless. There Natalie continued.
"Despite the fact that the town only had a fraction of its population left within it, it was livelier than ever." Natalie asked
"Okay, I don't need to know that. Anyways, how's Cassius doing?"
"Oh, he was still in the inn as of now, our goal is to protect him at all costs. Am I right, Lady Roxy?"
"Definitely, we will lose the reward if barely a scratch was left from him."
Beside Natalie, there was her older brother, Ned, who was staring at me angrily, decided to comment me.
"Lady Roxy, where's your brother. I like to have a word from him."
Not only Ned leaves a gloomy appearance, But Carin and Barry were also mad about my brother's attitude. All my guildmates were enraged about my big brother's behavior.
"Well, speak from the devil, there is my brother."
Elias and his party members walked up to the guildmembers. Grinning on the way there. While the men of the guild was holding staring at Elias, but before he could say anything. I spoke up
"How are your preparations coming along. Brother? Is there anything you need?"
"Nah, I'm fine, Eirene."
Elias didn't turn around while I was talking to him. Unable to stand his attitude, Carin angrily flared up.
"Hey, brat… your sister is talking to you. Is that the kind of attitude you take with her? She's the only reason we're not grilling you about you artifacts and how you plan on taking down this huge army, you know that? You could at least give some respect from vice-leader."
Carin expression was a great while I was shocked about hearing the response from my brother. I decided to give a piece of me to Carin, but he excluded.
"Hey, Elias, you know I have the bone to kill you right now? Tell me, your attitude seems off ever since we met. How about I chop one of your tongue of yours so you couldn't speak." Carin said angrily
"Hey shithead. If I hear one of your responses, one more this. I swear I will burn this village apart. You have the audacity to break into me, Huh?"
"Whom you calling shithead, I swear i will fuck one of your party of yours until you despair."
Unable to stand any longer, the guildmembers drawed their weapons. Carin unsheathes his head-sized dagger in his back and pointed towards Elias.
"Elias Rynd, I propose a duel. To the death!"
