SFX:VROOM!
Aarav slammed the car into gear. They tore away from the house, hitting 120 km/h.
Kabir: We made it! We're out!
Meera: (Quietly) No. Look at the road.
Every time they turned a corner, the same rusted gate appeared. The same house stood waiting. They were trapped in a folding reality.
Aarav: It's a loop! I'm going off-road! Into the jungle!
He yanked the wheel. The car crashed into the dense vines and ancient trees. But as they stopped, Meera pointed at the floorboards. They were covered in the Grey Ash of the Old Man.
Meera: We never left, Aarav. Look outside.
The "trees" began to move. They weren't wood; they were thousands of tall, headless shadows. The Ghost appeared on the hood of the car, her violet eyes pressed against the glass.
