Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Soft Mouth from Eating

"Sister, Quinn, let's not be so confrontational!" Seeing that the two girls were about to start fighting in the room, Yori quickly ran between them to separate them.

Thanks to Leticia's interruption, the relationship between Yori and Melanie subtly became a bit more normal.

At least now Yori wasn't as reserved as before; she could talk properly in front of Melanie.

"The three of you, why don't you come out and eat first? We can also chat about anything at the dinner table," Luna poked her head in from outside the door, followed by the fragrant aroma of food.

Grumble~

A very subtle sound rang out, and Leticia's gaze drifted to Melanie's slightly flushed poker face.

Was that sound just now made by her?

"Sister, are you hungry?" Yori also heard the rumbling of a stomach, and she was certain the sound wasn't from her or Quinn.

As for the reason... just look at the empty potato chip bags in the room.

Here with Leticia, no one stopped her from eating snacks before dinner.

So, the owner of the sound was obvious; who else could it be but our invincible Miss Sword Saint?

It couldn't possibly be Luna's sound, could it?

"The person is annoying, but the stomach sound is quite cute." Leticia chuckled, "Let's go, let's go, time to eat."

Melanie stood still, her crimson cheeks practically rivaling a ripe apple. She placed her hand on her flat stomach, her voice barely audible, "It wasn't me."

This Miss Sword Saint was indeed not good at lying.

A few minutes later, the three sat down. Luna placed the chilled drinks next to Leticia and Yori, then she asked Melanie, "Malanie Ling, what drink would you like?"

"Drink?" Melanie was confused. What did 'drink' mean?

"It's just something to drink," Leticia opened her favorite 'Happy Water' and took a big gulp. "Ah, refreshing."

"These things... are bad for your health," Melanie said indifferently. So that's what a drink was?

"Times have changed, Malanie," Leticia shook her head. "If you hold onto such old-fashioned ideas, you won't be able to live in this world."

"Mhm, mhm." Yori, sipping her orange juice, nodded in agreement.

Her sister felt like a block of wood, completely lifeless, which made Yori very worried about her sister's future life.

Speaking of the future... "Sister, how long can you stay home this time?"

Last time, Melanie stayed at home for a month. Would it be a month again this time?

"I..."

"She was fired, you know. Now Malanie is a legitimate unemployed person," Before Melanie could speak, Leticia annoyingly interjected.

"Eh? Sister, you're not leaving this time?" Yori paused, then burst into ecstatic joy.

Seeing her sister's surprised expression, Melanie's fist, which had been clenched and ready to smash Leticia's head, slowly relaxed. She nodded, "Yes, this time the break is very, very long."

If the world could remain stable and peaceful like this, then perhaps she wouldn't have the chance to re-emerge.

"That's great!" Yori shouted happily.

"I don't feel so great..." Leticia reached for a fried chicken leg and mumbled.

If this person wasn't leaving, didn't that mean she would be neighbors with this person?

The rekindled flame of passion was immediately extinguished. After calming down and thinking carefully, Leticia realized that even if this person retired, she probably wouldn't be able to take over the Human World.

After all, this person was only retired, not dead. When Leticia planned her comeback, who knew if this person would also make a comeback?

As long as she was alive, Leticia wouldn't have even a tiny chance.

"Oh, right, tomorrow is Saturday, Sister, let's go shopping for clothes together. All your clothes at home are so old," Yori said excitedly.

"Ah... okay." Melanie, who was shoveling rice into her mouth, nodded blankly.

This Miss Sword Saint's eating habits were indeed quite uninhibited, forming a stark contrast with her somewhat elegant appearance.

By the time Leticia finished a chicken leg, this person had already eaten a large bowl of rice, and it was the kind where she ate it plain, without any dishes.

"You're not eating vegetables?" Seeing Melanie hand her bowl to Luna and indicate she wanted another bowl, Leticia spoke.

"You all eat, I'll just eat rice."

"Unbelievable." Leticia covered her face. She realized this Sword Saint was even less adapted to the Human World than she, the Demon Lord, was. "Leticia, get your sister some vegetables. Luna, serve less rice."

"No need..."

"Shut up. If you're mooching off my family's food, then behave, understand?"

Melanie, whose mouth was soft from eating, lowered her head. "Oh."

Such obedient Melanie greatly improved Leticia's mood. For a moment, she found this Sword Saint much more agreeable.

If only the Sword Saint on the battlefield had been so obedient, how wonderful that would have been.
