The air across the border felt almost eerie. cooler. Was that even possible? I had no clue, but it most certainly felt that way. Yet, despite the atmosphere shift, the last person I expected to see was Althea. What was she doing here? She was just as I was. An omega. Always with tasks to see to. So why was she here in the daytime wandering along the borders? Alpha Alexander always ensured she had tasks to do...
Omegas' schedules were always filled with duties. They barely had a moment to themselves. I knew Althea had a packed schedule. A much respected omega within our pack, and one much honoured by the Alpha, which was rare. Her day-to-day routine should not leave space for wandering around the pack.
A sense of unease washed over me, however I could not explain why. My eyes drifted to the familiar face of the omega who had been by my side for so long. Her dark eyes met mine with a familiar warmth. "What are you doing wandering out here, sweet girl?" She said with caution.
