Chapter 1 - ch#1 First page of destiny

On the top floor of the tallest building in America, **Salar Shah** stood silently, taking slow drags from his cigarette.

The smoke rising with the cool night air formed a mysterious veil around him.

He was an extraordinarily handsome young man, the kind who made one feel as though a Greek prince from some ancient legend had stepped into reality.

His captivating complexion, deep and commanding eyes, and wine-tinted lips—releasing thin curls of smoke—only added to the allure of his personality.

The thick mustache adorning his face further enhanced his authority and striking presence.

Standing with quiet dignity, he gazed at the sprawling city before him, wearing his pride and arrogance as naturally as a part of his being, as though the entire world lay beneath his feet.

Yet within him lived a strange restlessness and an unspoken silence.

At the age of twenty-six, he was an immensely successful businessman in America and a rising star in the business circles of Asia.

Wealth, fame, and power—he possessed it all. And yet, despite everything, there remained an emptiness in his heart that no achievement had been able to fill. He was stubborn by nature, proud, and stern in temperament.

He listened to no one when it came to his own will and remained unwavering in his decisions. In the eyes of the world, he was an arrogant and indifferent man, but in the softest corner of his heart there lived only one bond with full intensity—his grandfather's.

It was that grandfather who was the only weakness of his life and his greatest love.

In front of him, Salar Shah's harshness and pride seemed to fade on their own, and he would obey him like a dutiful grandson.

From the glittering skyscrapers of America to the vast lands of Balochistan, his name had become a symbol of power, wealth, and influence.

This was because he was not only a successful businessman but also the heir to an influential family and its traditions in his homeland.

Yet within his seemingly complete life lay a hidden detachment that even he himself had not been able to understand.

He had no idea that fate was about to open a chapter for him that would transform his pride, his heart, and his entire life.

Suddenly, the silence was shattered by the sharp ringing of his phone. When his eyes fell on the screen, a faint smile appeared on Salar's lips.

"Yes, Dada Jan…"

From the other side came a commanding voice—his grandfather, **Mukarram Shah**.

"Salar! You seem to have forgotten that you have a grandfather as well. In all these days, you couldn't even make one phone call!"

Salar smiled lightly and replied with a hint of softness in his voice,

"Dada Jan, you're being unfair. If there is anyone in this world whom Salar loves the most, it is you. I was just busy with my new project—the tender for it was awarded only recently…"

He said this with a subtle sense of pride and dignity.

Mukarram Shah's voice echoed again,

"Salar! You are needed here in the village… you must return immediately."

Salar's grandfather was the chieftain of a large village in Balochistan, **Khuzdar**. Twelve years earlier, when Salar was only fourteen, his father **Azmir Shah** and mother **Muneeza Shah** had lost their lives in a horrific accident.

The sudden loss of his parents had left a wound in Salar's heart that was not easy to heal.

To protect his grandson from those bitter memories and to give him a bright future, Sardar Mukarram Shah had sent him to America for higher education, so that he could transform his grief into knowledge and success—and one day return stronger.

It was a cold morning in **Ankara**.

At the medical campus of **Hacettepe University**, students in white coats were walking briskly toward their classes.

"Aizal, wake up quickly, we're getting late. Don't let it happen that we end up getting scolded by **Ma'am Isra** today," **Musfira** said as she pulled aside the curtain by the window.

Aizal, who had lain down after offering the **Fajr prayer**, had fallen asleep for a moment. Hearing Musfira's voice, she startled awake and sat up.

Aizal was a beauty in her own right. Her complexion was clear and radiant, her eyes captivating like those of a deer, and her lips—made even redder by the cold of Ankara—gave her face a delicate charm. Her long, thick hair usually remained covered beneath her dupatta.

"Musfira, why are you getting so worried?" Aizal said with a smile. "Our first semester is almost over.

We have never been late before, and Insha'Allah nothing will happen today either. Our lecture is at eight-thirty, and it's only seven-thirty right now."

Hearing this, a faint smile appeared on Musfira's face as well, and she replied more calmly, "Yes, but today we have **Ma'am Isra's** lecture.

You know how strict she is as an anatomy professor. If someone is even a minute late, she scolds them in front of the whole class."

Aizal quickly picked up her white coat and adjusted her bag. "Don't worry, we'll reach on time today as well."

Both of them hurried to get ready. When they looked out through the hostel window, the cold wind and a thin layer of mist had wrapped the entire atmosphere of Ankara.

Students walking toward the university held books in their hands and dreams upon their faces.

Within a few moments, Aizal and Musfira were also on their way toward the vast medical campus of **Hacettepe University**, taking another step toward the fulfillment of their dreams. Today would bring a new challenge and a new hope for them.

Ma'am Isra was known as a strict anatomy professor, before whom even the most confident students grew nervous, and today's lecture would surely be no less than a test.

Aizal was the only daughter of her parents, who lived in **Pakistan**. Only a few months earlier, she and Musfira had received scholarships in **Turkey** and had come to Ankara to pursue their dreams.

Aizal's father, **Ameer Khan**, worked as a doctor at a well-known hospital in Pakistan. He possessed a dignified and charismatic personality, while her mother, **Maha Ameer Khan**, was an excellent homemaker, a caring mother, and a loyal wife.

Aizal had inherited her blue eyes and striking beauty from her parents.

Aizal was the beloved pride of her parents. And why wouldn't she be? Ameer Khan and Maha Khan had prayed for four long years after their marriage before Allah granted them this precious daughter.

From childhood, Aizal had been exceptionally intelligent and confident. She had an intense passion for becoming a doctor so that she could treat the poor free of cost. As time passed, this desire only grew stronger. Amir Khan always tried to fulfill every wish of his daughter. His life seemed to reside in Aizal. He lived for her, and her success was his greatest happiness.

When Aizal applied for scholarships to various universities with her best friend Musfira, both of them were selected by one of Turkey's finest medical universities.

Hearing the news, their happiness knew no bounds, because the two friends had been given the chance to pursue their dreams together.

Musfira and Aizal had been friends since childhood. Musfira's father was a clerk, while her mother was a homemaker.

At first, Musfira's parents had concerns about sending their daughter to another country, but after Ameer Khan reassured them, they agreed.

Ameer Khan and Maha Khan were immensely proud of their daughter's success, but sending their beloved child far away from their sight was not easy for them—or for Aizal herself.

Even so, for the sake of her dreams, they made the difficult decision and, with heavy hearts but smiling faces, sent Aizal to Turkey so that she could take the first step toward her bright future.

"Honestly, I'm exhausted today. Four lectures back-to-back have completely drained me," Musfira said tiredly.

Aizal, who still looked surprisingly fresh, watched her closely.

"Musfira, we came here to study, not to wander around. And you're already in this state after just four lectures.

This is only the first semester—what will you do later?" Aizal said with a slight smile.

Musfira adjusted her bag on her shoulder and replied, "Yes, alright… but today **Professor Burhan** didn't come. If he had, the day would have been even harder."

Aizal said as they walked, "Honestly, Professor Burhan's class is difficult, but it's very informative."

Professor Burhan was one of the most capable and serious professors at the university, teaching **physiology**.

He explained complex subjects such as the human body's systems, the heartbeat, and the nervous system with remarkable precision.

His class remained completely silent because he expected every student to listen with full attention.

As they continued walking, the two reached the university's beautiful lawn where some of their close friends were already present.

All of them had come on scholarships from different countries, and over time they had formed a wonderful friendship.

From Turkey, **Ahmed** and **Elif** were standing there talking. Ahmed was cheerful and helpful, while Elif was gentle and intelligent, always guiding everyone. **Omar**, who had come from Egypt, was very serious but extremely hardworking, while **Leila**, from Azerbaijan, was everyone's favorite because of her beautiful smile and friendly nature.

Besides Aizal and Musfira from Pakistan, there was also another student named **Haris**, who was a senior and often guided them regarding their studies.

They all belonged to different countries, spoke different languages, and came from different cultures, yet one dream had brought them together—the dream of becoming successful doctors.

Musfira smiled and said, "Isn't it strange? We've all come here from different parts of the world, yet now we're traveling toward the same destination."

Looking up at the sky, Aizal replied confidently, "Yes, and one day we will all return to our countries and serve people. That will be our true success."

Aizal was not only a confident girl but also modest and deeply rooted in Islamic values, and this quality made her unique.

. Even while living in a modern environment, she remained firm in her principles and beliefs. Offering the five daily prayers, speaking gently, carrying herself with dignity, and respecting others were all part of her character.

Even within the busy and modern environment of the university, Aizal had preserved her identity.

She always dressed simply, kept her dupatta over her head, lowered her gaze while speaking, and studied with sincerity as if her education were an act of worship.

The strength and purity of her character made her stand out from the rest.

Musfira often felt proud of her friend and thought that Aizal was not only an excellent student but also a person of beautiful character—and perhaps these very qualities would take her far in life.

On one side was **Aizal Ameer Khan**—gentle, modest, and firm upon her principles. On the other side was **Salar Shah**—a name recognized for fame, wealth, and unmatched confidence.

How destiny was about to bring these two onto the same path was something no one yet knew.

Two different mindsets. Two different worlds—one as simple as the earth, the other as lofty and proud as the sky.

Yet the decisions of fate are far more powerful than human thoughts.

Time was destined to bring them to a place where not only their paths would meet, but their lives would also become intertwined.

This was the beginning of a story where there was a vast difference between a modest girl and a rebellious, proud young man… yet perhaps this very difference would one day become the most beautiful turning point of their lives.

"**Assalamualaikum, Baba.**"

"How are you, my child? I'm fine… how is my little doll?" **Amir Khan's** loving voice echoed over the phone.

A faint smile appeared on Aizal's lips. "I'm fine too, Baba. My studies are going very well.

How are you and Mama? You know how much I miss you both. Sometimes I feel like flying back to you, but what can I do… my first-semester exams start next week," she said with a pout.

Amir Khan spoke gently, "It's alright, my child. After your exams you'll have a week's break—come home then. The house feels so empty without you."

Aizal remained silent for a few moments before speaking softly, "No, Baba… I'll probably need that week to prepare for the next semester, so it might be difficult for me to come."

Hearing this, the smile on Amir Khan's face faded slightly. The pain of his daughter's distance deepened in his heart. He knew she was far away to fulfill her dreams, but a father's heart is still a father's heart.

Composing himself, he said warmly, "It's alright, my doll. Focus on your studies.

We are proud of you. Just take care of yourself and eat on time."

Aizal's eyes grew slightly moist. "Yes, Baba. You and Mama take care of yourselves too. You are my greatest strength."

After the call ended, Aizal sat silently for a few moments

. Even though she was thousands of miles away, she could clearly feel her father's love and prayers—and that feeling gave her the courage to face every difficulty.

After ending the call, she suddenly remembered that her father's birthday was next month. The thought brought sadness to her face.

"Oh Allah… Baba's birthday is next month. If I'm not there, how will he celebrate?" Aizal said worriedly.

Musfira, sitting beside her, replied immediately, "Don't worry, Aizal. Let's finish our exams first.

Then we'll think about it. We can arrange the next semester's things in one day and take permission to go to Pakistan for six days."

Aizal looked at her in surprise. "Really? Do you think we'll get permission?"

Musfira replied confidently, "Why wouldn't we? We're scholarship students, but we can still get a week's leave.

Besides, what's the point of living so far away if we can't even share our parents' happiness?"

A small smile appeared on Aizal's face, and her heart felt lighter.

"You're right, Musfira. Baba's happiness means everything to me. If we get permission, we'll make his birthday unforgettable this time."

Musfira smiled. "Exactly… and we'll give him a surprise. We won't tell him anything beforehand."

A sparkle appeared in Aizal's eyes. The exhaustion and sadness had been replaced by a beautiful hope. Perhaps this time fate would give her the chance to meet her loved ones.

On the other side was **Salar Shah**—a name that held a powerful identity in the business world of America and in Asia's showbiz and social-media industries.

At twenty-six, Salar Shah possessed a rebellious, stubborn, and prideful personality. Wealth, fame, and success followed him wherever he went, yet arrogance and indifference were clearly visible in his nature.

He disliked formal events, academic seminars, and such gatherings.

Coming to Turkey had never been part of his plans. He was so entangled in his busy life that he hardly had time to appreciate the beauty of the world. But this time, his close friend **Dr. Zaheer Ahmed** had insisted.

"Salar, you have to come to Turkey with me," Zaheer said seriously.

Salar replied indifferently, "Zaheer, I have no interest in these seminars or events. You know I don't like such things."

Zaheer smiled. "It's not just my seminar. The university has invited you as a **special guest and motivational speaker**. Thousands of students want to hear your success story. And honestly… you also need a break from this busy life."

Salar took a deep breath. He still had no interest in going, but Zaheer was his childhood friend and the only close friend he had.

"Fine… I'm going only because of you," Salar finally said.

A look of satisfaction appeared on Zaheer's face. "That's all I needed. You'll see—Turkey's atmosphere will refresh you."

And so Salar Shah, who was not used to attending such places, agreed to travel to Turkey for the sake of his friend.

He had no idea that this journey would not remain limited to a seminar or a few days of travel—it would bring him face to face with a girl who would change the way he saw life itself.

At the same university in Ankara, where Aizal Amir Khan was working hard to fulfill her dreams, fate was about to take a turn where these two characters from completely different worlds would meet for the first time.

"Hey, the seminar is the day after tomorrow. I heard some very big names will be attending," Musfira said while sitting on the university lawn, looking at Aizal who was completely absorbed in preparing for her exams.

Suddenly Musfira stared at her.

Aizal raised her head and said, "Why are you staring? I'm actually very excited about the seminar the day after tomorrow!"

Musfira replied, "Stop teasing me. What do we have to do with it? We should only focus on our exams and our dreams, not on some seminar or chief guest."

Aizal's mouth fell open. "You're bored yourself and now you want to make me bored too!"

Musfira complained, "Since we arrived here we haven't even gone out once, and judging by your intentions, it looks like even this seminar will fall victim to your boredom."

Aizal closed her file and said seriously, "Musfira, not everything is meant just to be enjoyed. Some things help a person move forward, and right now the most important things for me are my exams and my dreams."

Musfira rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes, I know… you're a confident and very serious girl. But life doesn't exist only in books, Aizal! Sometimes you should look at the world outside too."

Aizal smiled faintly. "The time to see the world will come, but right now I need to build myself."

Musfira leaned closer playfully. "Just wait—when that special guest arrives, the whole university hall will go crazy seeing him… and maybe you'll forget your books too!"

Aizal reopened her file indifferently. "I have no interest in any special guest… my destination is everything to me."

Musfira sighed and looked at the sky. "I don't know why, but I feel like this seminar is going to change your life…"

That was the day when two different existences were destined to collide.

At exactly five in the morning, **Salar** stepped onto the soil of Turkey—and a new story began.

Salar Shah and Dr. Zaheer Ahmed went straight to the **Hilton Hotel** located in an upscale area of Ankara.

After the long journey, when Salar looked out from the window of his luxury suite at the view of the city, a faint smile appeared on his lips.

"Turkey… let's see how interesting this journey turns out to be," he murmured, placing his coat on the sofa.

Dr. Zaheer looked at his watch. "Salar, get some rest for now. We have to reach the university seminar at one in the afternoon. You're the special guest—we can't be late."

Salar nodded half-heartedly. "I'm not particularly interested in such seminars… but I came because of you."

With that, he lay down on the bed. The exhaustion of the journey and the long flight silenced him for a while.

Later, after resting until noon, he would get ready for the seminar.

"Salar, wake up… that's enough rest. It's already twelve, we'll be late," Dr. Zaheer said while pulling aside the curtain.

Salar slowly opened his eyes. A faint redness of sleep still lingered in them. Sitting up lazily, he ran a hand through his hair and said,

"Zaheer… I've never liked living according to the world's signals."

After a brief pause, a faint arrogant smile appeared on his lips.

"When I am the special guest, they should be grateful… that I took a few moments from my precious time to attend their untimely seminar."

His voice carried the same old arrogance and indifference—as though every gathering became complete because of his presence, not the other way around.

Soon they began preparing for the seminar.

Meanwhile, at the university…

"Wow, today the university feels completely different. I'm loving it!" Musfira said excitedly, smiling at the lively atmosphere.

Ahmed laughed. "Yes, I'm excited too… but it seems Elif, Leila, and Aizal aren't in the mood."

Elif smiled softly. "Not out of mood, Ahmed—just tired. Classes since morning and then studying… some
