Synopsis
Rish, a charming yet grounded Indian boy from a modest middle-class family, never imagined his life would extend beyond the familiar boundaries of struggle and ambition. Flirtatious by nature but sincere at heart, he dreams of becoming a mathematics professor—someone who finds beauty in logic and certainty in numbers. However, financial limitations constantly threaten to silence those dreams. Everything changes when Rish unexpectedly receives acceptance into a prestigious fully funded international scholarship covering tuition, accommodation, airfare, and living expenses. What began as a random application soon becomes a life-altering journey. Thrown into a foreign world far from home, he arrives in South Korea as an undergraduate student at Seoul National University, carrying hope, uncertainty, and a quiet determination to redefine his destiny. But the real equation of his life begins not in a classroom, but inside a shared dormitory room. There, he meets Nomsaku—a reserved Japanese girl whose silence speaks louder than words. Introverted, disciplined, and emotionally guarded, she stands in stark contrast to Rish’s warm and expressive personality. Their first encounters are awkward, distant, and anything but romantic. Cultural differences, personal insecurities, and unspoken wounds create invisible walls between them. Yet, as seasons change and university life unfolds, shared struggles slowly transform strangers into companions. Late-night conversations, academic pressures, cultural discoveries, and moments of vulnerability begin rewriting the boundaries between friendship and something far deeper. In a city where dreams collide with reality, Rish and Nomsaku must navigate ambition, identity, and the fragile mathematics of human emotions. From Scholarship to Heartbeat is a heartfelt coming-of-age romance about destiny, cultural connection, and the unexpected ways love finds its solution—proving that sometimes the most complex equations are solved not by logic, but by the heart.
