Chapter 11 - 11

Chapter 11 The Avengers

The usually quiet and lifeless residents' group, which only comes alive when there's a need for repairs or services, has become lively these past two days.

The incident started when a woman posted pictures of the food and supplies she had stocked up for working from home in the residents' group chat, sparking a discussion among the group members.

Yu Miaomiao definitely wouldn't participate in these discussions. She was using a secondary account in the group, and only when she accidentally used her spare phone did she see that the number of messages in the secondary account's micro-group had exploded to 999+.

Humans are inherently curious, so she went to look through the records.

The woman who initially lived on the 7th floor of the same building as her posted a collection of photos showing the storage room filled with a wide variety of food.

Yu Miaomiao had met this person a few times. She was a single woman in her thirties, and her name seemed to be Liu Mengmei. She was a successful career woman, a white-collar worker in finance. Whenever she saw her in the elevator, she always had a coffee in her hand.

After reading it, Yu Miaomiao felt that this person was not as smart as he seemed; he was actually quite foolish.

She probably didn't realize that she would be among the first unlucky victims to be looted after the apocalypse, and was still discussing ways to hoard supplies with everyone in the group.

It's been raining and snowing for almost two weeks now, and the temperature has dropped to below -30 degrees Celsius. The ground is covered with a thick layer of ice, making it difficult to get around, and food delivery is impossible. Supermarkets are packed with people scrambling to buy things, and everyone can only manage to grab a tiny bit of produce.

The person on the 5th floor in the owners' group is named Yuan Yong. He is the father of the father and son who ate dumplings and glutinous rice balls in the previous life.

She said she couldn't buy anything at the supermarket except a few packets of pickled cabbage noodles that no one wanted. She has children at home and can't go without food. She hoped the woman on the 7th floor could share some with her, and she was willing to pay double the price to buy it.

Liu Mengmei readily agreed, saying there was no need to mention money, as she bought too much for one person to finish, and that helping each other was the proper thing to do.

Goodness, she not only loves to show off but is also a saint.

Lu An shook her head at the sight, but they wouldn't remind her, after all, the apocalypse would teach her a lesson.

Yu Miaomiao is going to deal with her uncle's family soon, but she didn't tell Lu An because she was afraid he would see her ruthless side.

So far, she has confessed most things to Lu An, but she hasn't told him about her struggles in the apocalypse over the years, which can be described as walking over the corpses of many people—those who stole her things, those who coveted her body, and those who were vicious and ruthless...

They're all dead, and she has a clear conscience. None of those who died at her hands deserved to die.

In this wasteland, humanity has vanished; everyone is a bloodthirsty beast, fighting for survival. The only secret to survival is to be strong enough.

The wind and snow outside the window intensified, roaring as if to devour the night; the end of the world might be coming on the next snowy night.

Yu Miaomiao couldn't sleep, so she decided to move her plans forward. At dawn, she quietly went out with her bag on her back, wearing a baseball cap and a mask.

She took an SUV from her spatial storage, changed the wheels to anti-skid tires, and took a shortcut to Guanhuyuan, where her uncle's family lived.

She parked her car on the roadside outside the residential area, tiptoed over the wall, and the snow quickly covered her tracks. She knocked on the window of Yu Songnian's villa on the first floor, shook off the snow, and easily jumped into the villa.

The Yu Songnian family never kept servants at home overnight, so only the three of them were in the villa at night, which gave Yu Miaomiao the opportunity to take action. She didn't want to cause any trouble or be seen by too many people.

They quickly found Yu Songnian's bedroom, slipped inside, and found him fast asleep. Zhang Qiulan nestled against Yu Songnian like a little bird.

This bald old man maintains the same style both before and after the apocalypse: greedy, lustful, and harmful to people's lives.

Zhang Qiulan was a victim but also became a perpetrator. After the incident, it was she who suggested burning the body as soon as possible, so that Yu Miaomiao didn't even get to see it one last time.

Recalling how Yu Xianghe revealed the truth about her parents' deaths word by word in her previous life, her mind was instantly filled with despair, helplessness, and anger.

She took out the sleeping pills she had prepared beforehand, covered their mouths and noses, gagged them tightly, then tied them up and hung them at the high staircase in the center of the villa.

Turning around, she peered upstairs into Yu Xianghe's room and tied her up using the same method. Once everything was ready, she moved a chair down, and with a thought, a Tang sword appeared in her hand.

With his other hand, he took out a small bottle of pepper spray from his pocket and sprayed it on the three men's philtrum.

The three of them were awakened by the spiciness at the same time. Unable to make a sound, they writhed and spun in the air until Yu Songnian turned to face Yu Miaomiao. His heart sank. A person with a guilty conscience will feel guilty even if he doesn't say anything.

"Mmm...mmm..." Yu Xianghe was the first to pop her head out, humming as if she had a lot to say. Yu Miaomiao took the cloth out of her mouth, and she immediately screamed for help...

Yu Miaomiao chuckled, "After you finished installing the soundproof walls in your house, you even invited me over to show off. Now who do you expect to hear us?"

"You scumbag! You sold us shares at a high price and then washed your hands of the business, causing our fundraising to fail. I haven't even settled accounts with you yet, and you're already rushing to confront me. Did you lose all your money on your trip abroad? Or did you get swindled out of all your money by some gigolo? Now you think you can kidnap us for ransom? Don't even think about it. I'm telling you, I'm definitely calling the police!"

Yu Xianghe continued to curse and swear, while also warning Yu Miaomiao and attempting to intimidate her with the law.

"You don't think I came to see you in this snowstorm just for some money, do you?"

Yu Songnian listened to the conversation and his face turned pale. He wondered to himself if this little bitch knew about her parents' affairs. Yu Miaomiao was usually a gentle person and would never argue with them. He didn't know what had gotten into her in the past six months. Now she dared to break the law and do so much. The only thing that could be her parents' affairs was this.

"I'm here to send you on your way."

Yu Miaomiao looked out the window and saw that the sky was already turning white; it was almost dawn, and she didn't want to waste any time.

"You bitch, you're insane, you're absolutely insane! Murder is... ahhhh!"

As Yu Xianghe watched the sharp blade of the Tang sword approach her, a surge of hot liquid soaked her pants. Her words were cut short by a painful howl before falling silent. The Tang sword had already pierced her heart and lungs, cutting into her body several times before being pulled out decisively. Blood gushed out rapidly, the warm, viscous liquid spraying onto the faces of Yu Songnian and Zhang Qiulan.

Yu Songnian and Zhang Qiulan twisted their bodies even more violently, their fear causing them to tremble uncontrollably. Yu Miaomiao whispered in their ears.

"Don't keep your actions a secret, or you won't do them in the first place. Aren't you afraid of ghosts knocking on your door in the middle of the night?"

After saying that, Tang Dao slashed between Yu Songnian's legs. His eyes rolled back and he fainted. The pain caused him to go into shock but he was not dead yet. Yu Miaomiao then slashed him on the neck, separating his head from his body. But compared to the horrific scene of his parents' car accident, this was too good for him.

Zhang Qiulan was left only to desperately beg for mercy with evasive eyes.

"You plotted so many insidious schemes to climb up to that bald old man, causing the tragic deaths of my parents. You're just wasting air by living. Go to hell and continue serving that disgusting old man."

She raised her knife and slashed down, the woman's head falling to the floor, her eyes still staring at the body hanging on the stairs. She wiped the Tang sword clean and put it into her spatial storage, then left the villa without looking back.

The villa's gate was wide open, and the wind and snow rushed into the villa. In no time, the bloodstains on the ground froze into a blood-red ice surface, and the three upside-down corpses and the heads spitting blood were frozen into ice sculptures...

After doing all this, Yu Miaomiao quickly searched the entire villa, putting everything from the smallest needle and thread to the largest furniture and refrigerator into her storage space.

My uncle is like a miser to outsiders, but he's very generous to himself. The wine cabinet is filled with rows of champagne and red wine, which he puts away in his space; the storage room is filled with rows of imported food, which he puts away in his space; and the three large-capacity refrigerators are full of fresh fruits and vegetables, which he put away in his space along with the refrigerators.

I also unexpectedly found a few safes, which I can't open for now, so I'll just put them in my storage space.

As for the scene, there's no need to clean it up; after the apocalypse, corpses are everywhere.
