📜 Archivist's Note
This document is the second in a series detailing the different Tiers of evolution. It outlines Tier 1—the first transcendence, the first vessel expansion.
Understanding this Tier is essential to grasping what it truly means to "surpass humanity."
✍️ Author's Note
Hohoho! I am back!
This time, let's talk about Tier 1. The first real step outside of common humanity.
Best read after Chapter 10—to understand what Remedy just went through, and what awaits him now.
👤 Tier 1 – Optimized Human
The First Vessel Expansion
Description: Tier 1 marks the first true transcendence. The first time a human ceases to be simply human.
Here, the individual has transcended their initial human envelope to access a superior vessel. But what has truly changed?
In reality, it is not a magical transformation. It is a structural reorganization.
The original human body cannot exceed a certain limit because of its natural composition. What changes here is the architecture. The entire body reorganizes itself for optimal output. Much like redesigning the structural integrity of a bridge to make it more efficient.
This Tier corresponds to the baseline of what some would call "superhuman." The individual now operates within a new biological state. No longer just a human, but an Optimized Human.
📊 Standardized Attributes & Capabilities (Tier Baseline)
The values below represent the baseline of Tier 1—what an individual can achieve without specific training in this new body.
⚔️ Strength
* Lifting Capacity: Can lift 500 kg with a single hand at maximum effort.
* Striking Power: Can splinter thick wooden planks, shatter concrete block walls.
* Torsion Force: Can cold-bend 10mm diameter iron bars.
* Comparison: At Tier 0, these same feats were impossible, even at the absolute peak.
🛡️ Endurance & Resilience
* Impact Resistance: Survives falls from 5 to 8 meters with minor injuries (simple fractures).
* Ballistic Resistance: Denser skin. Can stop or deflect low-velocity projectiles (arrows, thrown knives). Remains vulnerable to firearms.
* Metabolism: Can function 24 to 36 hours without sleep. Increased resistance to common toxins.
* Sickness: Hardened immune system. Common infections are fought off in a matter of hours.
🏃 Speed & Agility
* Top Speed: ~30 km/h over short distances (Baseline—can be improved through training).
* Reaction Time: 0.1 seconds (twice as fast as a baseline human).
* Vertical Mobility: Vertical jump of 1.5 to 2 meters.
* Agility: Enhanced coordination, reinforced balance.
🧠 Mind & Perception
* Processing Capacity: Can consciously manage 200 to 300 bits of information per second (3 to 5 times faster than a baseline human).
* Memory: Improved. Important details are retained much longer, though not yet eidetic.
* Perception: Slightly heightened vision and hearing. Fine-detail scanning is improved.
* Intuition: Sharper survival instinct. Hostile intent reading is far more reliable.
🧬 Biology – The First Reconstruction
Composition
* Atoms: Still the same (C, H, O, N, Ca, etc.)—no exotic matter.
* Organization: The layout has shifted. Molecules are arranged more efficiently, with far less biological waste.
Musculature
* Denser muscle fibers.
* Less adipose tissue (fat), more contractile tissue.
* Energy yield per fiber: +30% compared to a baseline human.
Skeleton
* Denser bones—increased mineral content.
* Optimized microscopic architecture—better stress distribution.
* Compressive strength: ~300 MPa (Baseline).
Skin and Tissues
* Thickened skin: 2 to 3 mm.
* More numerous and tightly woven collagen fibers.
* Healing: superficial cuts in hours, deep gashes in days.
* No limb regeneration—that is not achieved at this Tier yet.
Brain
* Still the single seat of consciousness.
* More efficient neural connections, slightly accelerated synaptic transmission.
* Destroying the brain = immediate death.
⏳ Aging and Longevity (Baseline)
Process
* Aging is slowed, but not stopped.
* Telomeres shorten at a slower rate.
* Cellular wear and tear is heavily reduced.
Average Life Expectancy (Baseline, non-combat)
* Around 120 years—this is the base, the minimum guaranteed by this new vessel.
* Training and Leveling can extend this duration to the summit of the Tier.
Death
* Still possible by accident, violence, or unattended severe illness.
⚖️ The Philosophy of Tier 1
Tier 1 is the first step out of common humanity.
The individual is no longer "just a human." They are an Optimized being whose body has been restructured to bypass natural limits. It is a brand-new starting line.
A Fundamental Distinction:
Do you see the peak athletes of Tier 0? They work, get stronger, get faster... but they must train constantly to maintain that edge. Without training, they regress to their baseline.
At Tier 1, it is different.
If a Tier 1 individual stops training, they regress... but to their new Tier 1 baseline. They will never fall back down to Tier 0.
Why? Because crossing a Tier is not just about "getting stronger." It is about changing your default state. Changing your plane of existence.
* Leveling up is growing within this new plane, on this new baseline.
* Advancing a Tier is changing the plane itself.
What was impossible at Tier 0 (even at the peak) becomes possible here at the very bottom. What was a monumental feat at Tier 0 becomes a casual effort here.
📈 Progression Within Tier 1
Tier 1 spans across Levels 10 to 24.
| Level | State |
|---|---|
| 10 | Tier 1 Baseline – Starting Point |
| 11 – 20 | Evolution within the Tier |
| 21 – 24 | Approaching the Peak |
Each gained level fills the new vessel a bit more. The body and mind continue to improve, but always within the framework of this optimized existence.
🔓 Moving Toward Tier 2
At Level 24, the vessel will be full. It will be time to look toward Tier 2—the next transcendence.
But that is a story for another special chapter...
📋 Comparison: Peak Tier 0 vs. Baseline Tier 1
| Capacity | Peak Tier 0 (Level 9) | Baseline Tier 1 (Level 10) |
|---|---|---|
| Lifting Weight | ~150 kg | ~500 kg |
| Top Speed | ~25 km/h | ~30 km/h |
| Reaction Time | 0.15 s | 0.1 s |
| Fall Resistance | 3-4 meters (Severe injury) | 5-8 meters (Minor injury) |
| Life Expectancy | ~100 years | ~120 years |
The leap is clear. The vessel has changed.
Hohoho...
Now you have an idea about the "Optimized." Please note that what you find in these special chapters are benchmarks: stats can vary slightly by individual. (For instance: Remedy sprints at 33 km/h).
Next time, we will go further. Much further.
