Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Cultivation Technique

A sharp cracking sound echoed, Mo Tianlong, overwhelmed by a mix of anger and disbelief, had unintentionally shattered the throne he was sitting on, cracks spread instantly as the seat collapsed completely, yet no one paid attention to it, all eyes were fixed entirely on Mo Xuanye, as if the world had come to a halt at that moment.

Not only within the Mo Family, but throughout the entire history of the Tianxing Empire, such a talent had never appeared, even the founding ancestor of the empire was rumored to possess only a Low-Grade six-star Spiritual Root, yet now, the Mo Family had produced a genius with a thirteen-attribute Peak seven-star Spiritual Root.

Thirteen attributes… even that alone was beyond comprehension, the coexistence of so many different elements at once had never been recorded, not even in ancient texts or old records, this was no longer an exception, but something that existed beyond the very rules themselves.

Mo Tianyang could no longer endure it, without saying a single word, he turned around and left the place, this was not behavior befitting a clan leader, but at this moment, he did not care, the shock he experienced overshadowed everything else.

Seeing the expression on his brother's face, Mo Tianlong felt as if he had tasted the sweetest fruit in the world, an uncontrollable smile appeared on his lips, and a clear sense of victory shone in his eyes.

He then approached Mo Xuanye and gently rubbed his back, the gesture filled with both pride and deep satisfaction, as if the result had far exceeded all his expectations.

Mo Xuanye was in a very strange state of mind, his thoughts had not yet fully caught up with the result he had just witnessed, even he himself had not expected such an outcome, his heart was beating rapidly, yet his expression remained calm on the surface.

His mother, on the other hand, could not hold herself back upon seeing the result, she hugged him tightly in joy, repeatedly murmuring, "My son…" her voice filled with both pride and overflowing happiness, as if she did not want to let go of him even now.

Mo Tianlong cleared his throat lightly, regaining his composure, though the pride on his face was impossible to hide, "Now that you possess such extraordinary talent, reaching the Nascent Soul Realm will be nothing more than a matter of time for you," he said, his voice confident and full, as if he had expected this outcome from the very beginning.

While still being held by his mother, Mo Xuanye lifted his head slightly and asked, "Father, when can I start my cultivation training?" his eyes clearly showing excitement and impatience.

Seeing his enthusiasm, both his mother and father became even more pleased, proud expressions appearing on their faces, such eagerness at such a young age was something they found deeply satisfying.

Mo Lianhua gently stroked my head and smiled softly, "Little rascal, you're going too fast," she said in a gentle voice, "First, we need to choose the cultivation techniques and martial arts that suit you best, if the foundation is not set correctly, no matter how talented you are, you will be limited in the future," her words carried both affection and experience.

"Father, then when can I obtain a cultivation technique?" I asked with hopeful eyes, unable to hide the impatience in my voice.

Mo Tianlong smiled slightly, a playful glint in his eyes, "Why not now?" he said, and without wasting any time, he grabbed my shoulder and swiftly took me away, his movement was so sudden and fast that most people around could not even react.

Behind us, only my mother's voice remained, rising in an angry and complaining shout, as if her most precious treasure had been taken from her, her tone filled with both irritation and possessive concern.

In just a few seconds, we arrived at the Mo Family's library, the speed felt even faster than teleportation, my surroundings blurred, and my body couldn't adapt to the sudden transition.

I couldn't hold it in and suddenly vomited onto the ground, dropping to my knees, my head spinning as my stomach still felt completely unsettled.

At that moment, my father had already started browsing through the shelves, his eyes moving from one technique to another as he tried to make a decision without wasting time, "No… this is too weak for a beginning," he muttered as he placed one scroll back, then picked up another, his brows slightly furrowed, "This one is too strong, without a proper foundation, it won't be sustainable," his tone thoughtful.

The library had four floors, the first floor contained Basic techniques, the second Huang, the third Xuan, and the fourth housed Earth-level techniques, we were currently on the second floor, where Huang-level techniques were stored, even this place was inaccessible for ordinary people.

As Mo Tianlong examined the scrolls one by one, he read their names in a low voice, "Huang Low Grade Crimson Flame Qi Gathering Art… too one-dimensional," he said, then picked another, "Huang Mid Grade Jade Wind Circulation Technique… balanced but limited in potential," he murmured, opening another scroll, "Huang High Grade Thunder Meridian Refinement Technique… too aggressive for a beginner," and placed it back as well.

After a while, another scroll remained in his hand, his gaze slightly deepened, "Huang Peak Grade Five Element Circulation Art… hmm," he said, his tone more focused this time, as if he had finally found something promising.

Mo Xuanye, unable to hide his curiosity, stepped closer to the shelves and began examining several scrolls carefully with his small hands, his eyes shining as his excitement grew.

He first opened a scroll that read, "Huang Low Grade Earth Shield Condensation Art," after reading the description, he realized it focused on defense, but its slow progression failed to interest him, so he placed it back.

He then reached for another, "Huang Mid Grade Flowing Water Qi Circulation Technique," this technique was more balanced, focusing on gently strengthening the meridians, but its weak offensive power made him hesitate slightly.

Next, he picked up a more intriguing scroll, "Huang High Grade Lightning Step Art," his eyes lit up for a moment, as this technique focused on speed and explosive movement, making it quite appealing, though difficult to control.

Finally, he found an older-looking scroll, "Huang Peak Grade Shadow Serpent Circulation Technique," this technique seemed compatible with dark and poison attributes, and as he read its description, a faint interest appeared on his face, though he was not yet experienced enough to make a decision.

At that moment, my father's voice echoed from among the shelves, followed by an excited laugh, "Haha, I finally found it… Elemental Devouring Sutra, Peak Huang Grade technique!" his voice filled with clear satisfaction.

He continued with a smile, "I remembered that such a technique existed, I'm glad I was right," as he handed me the scroll, "This technique has three volumes, and this is the first one."

I took the scroll and examined it carefully, its contents were quite impressive, this technique was based on absorbing elemental energy directly to strengthen and harden the body, transforming not only the meridians but also the physical structure, it was clearly an extremely powerful technique.

However, it was far from perfect, in fact, it had a significant flaw, this technique required an enormous amount of resources, especially Elemental Spirit Stones, making it nearly impossible for an ordinary person to use it to its full potential.
