Chapter 2 - Episode 2: The Child with Crimson Eyes

Meera stood frozen at the doorway.

The child sat quietly on the bed… staring straight at her.

Those eyes—

deep red… glowing faintly in the darkness.

Her heartbeat quickened.

💔 Thump… thump… thump…

"Hello…?" she said softly, trying not to sound scared.

The child tilted his head… observing her like she was something new.

Not a word. Not a blink.

Meera took a small step inside.

"It's okay… I'm not going to hurt you," she whispered, forcing a gentle smile.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then suddenly—

The child disappeared.

😨

Meera gasped and stepped back.

"H-how…?"

A soft voice came from behind her—

"I'm here."

She turned quickly.

The child was now standing right behind her.

Her breath got stuck in her throat.

"Y-you shouldn't do that…" she stammered, trying to calm herself.

The child just stared at her… then slowly reached out and touched her hand.

His skin was cold.

Just like the king's.

Downstairs…

Arvian stood in the shadows, watching everything through the darkness.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"She's still calm…" he murmured.

Most people would have screamed… run away… or fainted.

But not her.

Back in the room—

"What's your name?" Meera asked softly.

A pause.

Then finally, in a quiet voice—

"…Ayaan."

Meera smiled gently.

"That's a beautiful name."

For the first time…

the child's expression softened.

But suddenly—

Ayaan's eyes flickered darker.

His grip on Meera's hand tightened.

Too tight.

Meera winced slightly.

"Ayaan… it's hurting…"

And then—

🩸 His fangs appeared.

Downstairs, Arvian's eyes widened.

"No—"

In a flash, he disappeared.

Upstairs—

Ayaan leaned closer to Meera's neck.

Her pulse… loud… tempting…

💔 Thump… thump…

Meera froze in fear.

She couldn't move.

Just as his fangs were about to touch her skin—

⚡ Arvian appeared instantly.

He grabbed Ayaan and pulled him away.

"ENOUGH!" his voice thundered.

The room fell silent.

Ayaan looked down… like a guilty child.

Meera stood there… shaking.

Arvian turned to her.

For a moment… their eyes met.

Something strange passed between them.

Fear… curiosity… and something deeper.

"You should have been afraid," Arvian said coldly.

Meera took a shaky breath.

"…I was."

Then she added softly—

"But he's just a child."

Arvian froze.

No one had ever said that before.

Not about him…

and never about Ayaan.

For the first time in centuries—

His heart felt… something.

TWIST 🔥

Arvian realized—

Meera wasn't just another human.

She was… different.

And that difference…

could either save them—

Or destroy them all.
