Chapter 2 – The Awakening of the Seed

When I opened my eyes, the first thing I felt was the softness of the bed beneath me.

Luxurious furniture, elegant lighting, and a clean, modern room surrounded me. For a moment, I thought I was in some expensive hotel. But then reality hit me — my wrists were bound with faint chains, and the windows were barred. The heavy reinforced door made it clear.

This was no hotel.

This was a prison.

I was just walking away from the seaside… then someone struck the back of my head. When I woke up, I was already here.

Through the small window in the door, I could see a long corridor lined with identical luxurious cells. Each one held a single person. Guards patrolled silently, their faces cold and expressionless.

This place looked like a VIP prison. They were treating us too well — delicious meals delivered on silver trays, three doctors in white coats visiting every day to check our vitals and administer gentle injections.

At first, I didn't understand. But slowly, the truth became clear.

They're raising us like livestock… preparing us for something.

One day, without warning, the guards dragged away nearly a hundred people from the neighboring cells. None of them ever returned.

The next morning, it was my turn.

They pulled me out and lined me up with about a hundred others. A guard pressed a strange hand-shaped tattoo onto my forehead. I noticed the guards and escorts had the same mark.

We were forced down a massive spiral staircase that seemed to descend endlessly into the earth. As we went deeper, the horrifying scale of the prison was revealed — a gigantic cylindrical underground facility with thousands of cells stacked in layers along the curved walls. Countless eyes watched us in silence from every level.

At the very bottom was an enormous altar.

Thousands of people in dark robes stood around it, chanting in a low, rhythmic unison. The atmosphere was suffocating.

After nearly an hour of chanting, a hand slowly rose from the center of the altar. Suddenly, a glowing spherical orb of pure light ignited above it — radiant and terrifying.

The cult leader's cold voice echoed through the chamber:

"You must touch the orb of light. If you refuse… we shoot you on the spot."

The first person in line was dragged forward. He begged, falling to his knees. A gunshot rang out instantly. His body collapsed.

One by one, people stepped toward the orb. When they got within three meters, their heads exploded in gruesome bursts of blood and bone. The line grew shorter with every passing minute.

Soon, I was the only one left.

I stood alone before the glowing orb, my heart pounding violently.

I've suffered since I was a child. Mistreated by everyone. Never felt real happiness. At this age, do I really have to die without ever living for myself?

Taking a deep breath, I walked forward and placed my hand on the orb.

The moment my fingers touched the light, my entire body began to dissolve.

Everything went white.

I thought I was dead.

I found myself floating in an endless pure white void.

A smoky figure slowly approached and took the shape of a human.

"Why aren't you afraid?" a calm, powerful voice asked.

"I'm already dead… what's the point of being afraid now?" I replied. "Who are you?"

"In your language… they call me God."

The being explained everything.

He told me that this glowing orb was called the God Seed — a small planet that would fuse permanently with my soul. He had been searching for a soul strong enough to withstand it through countless sacrifices.

There were many Gods. Some created the universe, some were created by higher Gods, and some, like this one, were born through human sacrifices.

The God Seed came with terrifying conditions:

Every hour, I must feed it the soul of one intelligent being — human or otherwise.

In return, it granted three abilities:

It could devour anything — curses, attacks, even other Gods.

I could transform the God Seed into any form I desired.

As long as I fed it one soul every hour, I would become immortal. Even if my body was destroyed, it would regenerate instantly.

But if I ever failed to feed it even once… I would die immediately, and the God Seed would return to its owner.

"Everything we've discussed here — you cannot tell a single soul," God warned. "If you try to reveal it, your soul will be destroyed instantly."

Then, with a final calm voice, he said:

"Go now. Start your new life."

The white void shattered.

I felt myself hurtling through space toward an unknown planet, the God Seed glowing faintly but powerfully inside my soul.

A new life awaited me…

But it came with a horrifying price.

To be continued…
