"How are you feeling?"
I paused as Effer slipped in.
I had been standing by the window, my arms crossed over my chest. I didn't remember moving there. I didn't remember much of anything clearly.
"Fine…"
Everything felt so odd now.
The hours after I had woken from that tree had been unbearable. Too many faces and voices, added with the fact that I was being pestered with questions I didn't even understand, when the world around me had seemed so unstable.
There had only been clarity when I had first woken up, and things had derailed shortly after that.
Colours and thousands of more lines bled into one another to the point I could barely even make out the faces around me. The whole thing had been so disorienting, including the frustrating out of body experience I had been feeling.
And then there had been the serpents.
