The Kingsley residence was in utter chaos.
Seizing the opportunity, Simon Carson came down from upstairs and made a call to a former colleague in the courtyard.
"Got a minute?"
"I have a few strands of hair I need you to help me test and run a DNA comparison on."
He paused, then added, "But it's a bit tricky."
"No problem, Carson. Anything you need, just ask," the person on the other end readily agreed.
Simon Carson mulled it over for a moment before saying, "The person for comparison passed away ten years ago."
"Was the person from Porten?"
"No, from Capella. That's why it might be a bit of a hassle."
"No problem," the other person said. "Just send me the info. I'll pull the records."
Simon Carson thanked him and reminded him to be discreet and not alert anyone else.
"These results are very important. Please rush it for me."
"Understood."
After hanging up, Simon Carson glanced back at the upper floor, gave it some thought, and decided to leave for the time being.
