The plane landed smoothly.
Zoe Rhodes followed the other passengers out, taking a moment to message Zane Hawthorne and let him know she had arrived safely.
The message went through, and not two minutes later, Zane Hawthorne's call came in.
"You're in Capella?" Zane Hawthorne asked, listening carefully to the background noise on her end to confirm.
Zoe Rhodes hummed in confirmation. "I'm heading out now. I'll just take the subway back to school, so you don't need to worry."
"I'll have someone pick you up. Stay put at the airport."
"Oh, no, you don't have to—"
"The driver is nearby. He'll be there in ten minutes."
Zoe Rhodes had no choice but to swallow her refusal. "All right, then."
Considering the time difference, Zoe Rhodes calculated what time it was for him and prepared to hang up. "I'll wait for the driver. You should get some rest."
Without giving Zane Hawthorne a chance to argue, Zoe Rhodes hung up.
