The bodyguard glanced at the emergency room door and hesitantly took a step forward.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Jasper Hawthorne's brow furrowed.
"Second Young Master, I don't think the young lady looks sick. It would be better to go in and check."
Jasper crossed his arms and shot him a look. "What do you mean, 'doesn't look sick'? Didn't you see how pale she was just now? Do you think someone can fake that?"
"Go on, try faking it for me!"
"Besides, I felt her pulse when I got out of the car. It was racing!"
"But…"
Jasper had a short fuse. "But what? Are you doubting her, or are you doubting me?!"
"…" The bodyguard bowed his head, said no more, and silently retreated to the side.
After a few more minutes of waiting, a sudden commotion came from the entrance. Jasper and his bodyguards looked up together, only to be unexpectedly blinded by the cold glint of a police badge.
