'How do I steal his girl?'
He needed a quiet place to think, so he left the banquet hall.
"Mr. Thorne..." A girl who'd had a little to drink came over to hit on him. "Are you all alone?"
Silas Thorne was in a good mood today, so he offered a kind reminder, "It just rained, so the ground outside is slippery. Since you've been drinking, you should stay inside."
Perhaps his words gave her courage, because she said directly, "Mr. Thorne, I like you."
"Sorry, I..."
Before Silas Thorne could finish his rejection, the girl actually lunged at him.
But in his peripheral vision, he caught a flash of a red figure.
It was...
Joyce Monroe!
In that split second of distraction, he was nearly force-kissed, while a certain little princess watched the spectacle from the side, clearly enjoying the show!
As Silas Thorne pushed the girl away, his gaze locked onto Joyce Monroe.
This gave Joyce Monroe a good scare.
'It's over.'
