"Can you even compare to my sister?"
Silas Thorne just shook his head. 'A terminal case of sister complex. Truly hopeless.'
"I heard she got into a good school?"
"Don't even get me started. My mother and I were hoping she'd apply to a school in Northgate so we could spend more time with her. But no, she just had to stay in Graymoor for college, all for that damn punk. I really don't know what's so great about him. He's always so hot and cold with my sister."
Kian Jacobs was fuming just thinking about it.
"I'm starting to suspect that kid is just stringing Joyce along."
"I really don't know what Joyce sees in him. Is it his face?"
As Kian Jacobs spoke, he glanced at the man beside him.
"Honestly, he's not even one-tenth as good-looking as you."
Silas Thorne chuckled softly. "Matters of the heart... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As long as your sister likes him, that's what counts."
"My sister is so wonderful. What could that kid possibly be unhappy about?"
