"Want to kiss you?"
Joyce Monroe was flustered by his words. Ever since Silas Thorne had returned from Northgate, their kisses had become more frequent. She seemed to be getting used to it, going from being clumsy and passive to slowly starting to respond…
'Everything seemed to be spinning out of control.'
"What are you spacing out for?" Silas Thorne gently stroked her hair and leaned in for another kiss.
The kiss was brief. But then Silas Thorne nibbled the shell of her flushed ear, and Joyce Monroe's body trembled violently. She instinctively clutched the front of his crisp shirt. "You… you bit me?"
"You can't even focus on a kiss." Silas Thorne had already let her go. As he changed his shoes and entered, his eyes immediately fell on the finished embroidery of a cat on the coffee table. "Finished?"
"Mhm."
"It's beautiful. So vivid and lifelike."
