The employees watched as Quentin Walsh, carrying a lunch box, led the young woman into Silas Thorne's private elevator. A mask covered her face, making it impossible to see clearly, but from her eyes and brow, they could tell she was an absolute beauty.
No one dared to speculate wildly, but they couldn't help but discuss it privately:
"I'd bet anything. That woman just now is definitely Mr. Thorne's hidden lover."
"Mr. Thorne has always kept his work and private life separate. To actually let her come to the company... How long has it been since he announced he was off the market? Is he really that smitten?"
"He's never even taken the ring off. This must be serious."
...
After entering the elevator, Joyce Monroe shot an annoyed glance at Quentin Walsh beside her. The whole way here, he had been promising that no one would see her, yet the moment she stepped into the company, she ran into a dozen employees.
