The entire banquet hall fell into a deathly, eerie silence. All eyes—filled with shock, astonishment, and envy—were fixed on Joyce Monroe, making her extremely uncomfortable.
The only one overjoyed was Julian Griffin. He looked at Joyce Monroe, his eyes practically glowing.
'He'd definitely backed the right horse.'
To him, Joyce Monroe was now The Living Ancestor, glowing with a golden light.
"Why are you here?" Joyce Monroe asked in a low voice.
"If I hadn't come, he was about to publicly announce you were his. How were you planning to handle that?" Silas Thorne asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
"I had my ways."
Silas Thorne's appearance had been completely unexpected.
The onlookers, who had been eagerly watching the drama unfold, seemed to finally snap out of their stupor and began whispering amongst themselves again:
"They're really registered? I still feel like I'm dreaming!"
