Zoe Monroe took a deep breath. The moment she opened the door, she saw him, just as she'd expected...
Kian Jacobs.
He held a gift box in one hand and a bouquet of roses shaped like a Christmas tree in the other.
"Brother," Zoe Monroe said with a polite smile, greeting him.
"Have you been drinking?" Kian Jacobs arched an eyebrow at her.
"Just a few sips."
"These are for you." Kian Jacobs handed her the flowers and the gift box. "To celebrate you passing your interview."
"Thank you, Brother. Please, come in for some tea."
When Kian Jacobs came inside, Zoe Monroe had already poured him a cup of wellness tea and handed it to him. "What brings you here?"
"You said you were having dinner with colleagues, so I arranged to meet up with Liam Wentworth. We just finished eating and were about to go out for another round of drinks. This was a Christmas present I was planning to give you anyway."
