Megan Kane really didn't want to bring up that case again, but her best friend wouldn't let it go.
And she couldn't just force the issue to disappear.
Besides, the situation at hand wasn't that easy to resolve.
"He hasn't contacted you again recently, has he? We've really tried everything we could think of for that case."
"But you know as well as I do, the person has been gone for so long. How could we possibly find anything now? It's not like we're miracle workers."
Jason Forrester shook his head and sighed. 'Unless you're omnipotent, no one could possibly find anything.'
Besides, the matter had already been ruled an ordinary case.
Arguing back and forth about it now would be a waste of time.
"I know, but didn't he just call? Don't overthink it. We'll just take it one step at a time."
"Besides, he calls every time to ask about it. I can't just keep brushing him off, can I? It's not a big deal to agree to help."
