"Okay, Mom will buy it for you," Leona Vaughn agreed immediately, not waiting for Iris Dalton's expression to sour.
She had initially thought the car was a bit expensive, but Simon Sherwood had told her that Iris's relationship with Young Master Crawford was far from ordinary. Furthermore, the Monahan Family had repeatedly hinted that since Iris was in an arranged marriage with Milo Monahan, the Sherwood Family couldn't appear too shabby. If the Monahan Family's future daughter-in-law lost face, it would reflect poorly on both families. So Leona made the final decision right then and there to buy Iris the car she liked.
When Claire Sherwood turned eighteen, the family had bought her a luxury car worth over six million as a birthday present. The car Iris wanted was just over three million, which wasn't too expensive in comparison.
