Lord Bone tightened his grip on the mace in his hand and grunted.
He and Gromg had a long-standing feud.
He could clearly tell the guy was mocking him.
'In his view, Ogres were just inferior creatures incapable of controlling their appetites. A few months ago, Gromg had secretly eaten one of his subordinates. If the Commander hadn't stopped him, he would have personally smashed the Ogre's head in.'
As if sensing his thoughts, two even taller Bear Goblin guards in standard-issue legion armor appeared silently behind Gromg. Their cold gazes swept over Lord Bone.
One of them spoke in a low voice, "Lord Bone, Mage Gromg was invited back by the Commander to assist with defense and repairs. Your strength should be used on real enemies. Deal with the trouble in the West Swamp as soon as possible."
