Amelia Lockhart didn't get a reply from Ethan Quinn. She looked up and saw his jaw was tense, his thin lips pressed into a tight line. Only then did it slowly dawn on her. 'He must be angry, right?'
Although Amelia didn't know why, she knew better than to provoke someone who was angry, so she decided to keep her distance.
But before she had taken more than a few steps, she felt the string of the balloon tied to her bag being tugged.
The person tugging it was, of course, Ethan Quinn.
Amelia had no choice but to turn around and face him again. "Ethan, this balloon..."
'Didn't you give this balloon to me?'
'Did he change his mind?'
Before she could finish her sentence, she heard Ethan say, "Follow me."
With that, Ethan was already striding forward on his long legs.
Though completely confused, Amelia followed him.
After a series of twists and turns, Ethan's pace gradually slowed. He finally stopped under a tree, looked up, and pointed. "Here."
