Silas looked up at Holly, his expression serious. He gave a slight nod. "Got it. Let's continue."
After wiping the small whiteboard clean, he pushed it back to her.
Holly blinked, picked up the marker, and wrote a few everyday phrases on the board.
She pushed the board back to Silas and began to sign, following the order of the words she had written.
Silas watched her intently, his expression serious. After memorizing the gesture for each word, he attempted to do it himself.
"Thank you..." Silas offered a slightly stiff smile. He awkwardly made a fist with his right hand and moved it from his chin down to his chest. "Is this right?"
Holly shook her head slightly.
'Ah... That's not right? But the cub signed it just like that. Make a fist, move it down.'
The tips of Silas's ears perked up, and he grew tense. His tail stopped swishing.
