So, Millie Sanders quickly spoke up. "Whitecoat, I'm actually in a taxi right now. How about I go with you? It's a perfect chance for me to check on Phoebe's injury and see how it's healing."
"Okay, then hurry. I'll wait for you."
"Okay."
Phoebe Faulkner waited for Dr. Whitecoat in the villa, trying to placate her second brother in the meantime. She assured Lionel that Jace Lennox hadn't mistreated her at all, but Lionel didn't seem to believe her. His gaze toward Jace was still filled with hostility.
After about half an hour, Phoebe heard the sound of a car downstairs.
She stood up and walked to the window.
And there, she saw two people getting out of the car.
