'Cure my second brother?'
When Phoebe Faulkner heard this, she thought of the Lionel Faulkner she once knew—a man whose abilities were great enough to shake the heavens. Her heart stirred. A part of her wanted her second brother to remain as he was, carefree and without worries, but she believed he would want to recover.
"Lord Ronan, I'll have to trouble you, then."
Phoebe Faulkner ultimately decided to take Lionel Faulkner to see Ronan Langdon. Even if the doctor he had couldn't cure Lionel, it was a chance she had to take.
"Where are you guys now? I'll drive over to pick you up." Now that he had Phoebe Faulkner's consent, Ronan Langdon asked for their current address.
This time, Phoebe Faulkner told Ronan Langdon the name of her hotel.
When Ronan Langdon heard that Phoebe Faulkner was staying in a hotel, he fell silent for a long moment. After a pause, he said, "Give me twenty minutes. I'm coming to get you right now."
With that, they both hung up.
