"Silly girl, go wash your face." He knew Yara Quillan's behavior was partly because he had left without a word all those years ago. If that mission hadn't been so perilous, and if he wasn't the only one for the job, he never would have left her all alone.
Yara Quillan climbed out of bed, freshened up, and was sitting down to breakfast when she heard Henry Lester say, "Last night's storm has caused some problems with transport on and off the island. We're stuck here for today."
"o_O?" Yara Quillan froze, turning to look out the window. It had rained all night, but the rain had stopped this morning. In the distance, she could see the deep blue sea. The sky was clear, the breeze gentle and pleasant.
'Last night was a complete mess. She hadn't even found the person she was supposed to be protecting on this mission, so she really didn't want to go back empty-handed. Besides, she still had no idea how Rosie was doing.'
