She didn't know what method Aaron Axton had used, but when she glanced back, the soldiers were already chasing in a different direction. While running, she tore off her mask and catsuit, heading for a deserted, dark corner. She ran for what felt like an eternity until she finally escaped the sight of the island's soldiers, but she didn't even have a chance to catch her breath.
THUMP— She slammed right into Henry Lester. Her heart leaped into her throat, and she nearly screamed.
"Hen... Henry Lester..."
Henry Lester stared at Yara Quillan, his gaze intense. That look alone was enough to make Yara's heart race. Finally, he reached out, ruffled her hair, and asked softly, "Did something happen? You're running in such a hurry."
"I... I have to pee." Yara's nervous gaze darted about until it landed on a restroom not far away. A flash of inspiration struck. She hastily pushed Henry Lester aside and ran for it.
