"Mm." Henry Lester looked at Yara Quillan's conflicted expression, unable to guess what she wanted to ask.
'If she asks about these troops, I really can't answer her because of regulations.'
'He didn't even know how she would react if she found out he'd accepted orders from his superiors to feign his discharge, and was actually still working for the country.'
As a soldier, there were many things he couldn't say. He had agreed to feign his discharge back then purely because it would give him more of his own time to take care of her. Yara Quillan opened her mouth, still unsure how to ask her question. Just then, they arrived at the hospital. Yara hurried out of the car and had the doctors take Henry Lester inside for treatment.
His wound was treated quickly. Henry Lester glanced at the clock on the wall and said to Yara Quillan, "It's almost twelve o'clock."
