Sean Lowell sat there, still wearing that Santa Claus mask. Yara Quillan didn't push him to take it off. After all, Sean was far more famous than she was. People who might not recognize her would definitely recognize him.
The ramen arrived quickly. Yara couldn't see Sean's expression, but she watched as he stared at the bowl for a long time without picking up his chopsticks. Thinking he was too good for ramen, she said unhappily, "This is all I can afford to treat you to. If you don't like it, don't eat it."
Sean finally took off his mask. He looked at Yara and a smile spread across his face. It wasn't that he disliked it; it had just been a long time since he'd had such a simple life.
Yara froze for a second, then scoffed. 'Just as I thought. This guy and Lucian Sloan both look so pure and kind. It's easy to be fooled by their looks. Good thing I know what they're really like.'
'Trying to fool me? Not a chance!'
