Her smile broke Jared Monroe's heart. He pulled Yara Quillan into a tighter embrace. "Yara, what are you talking about, calling yourself a jinx? You're our treasure. Everyone's treasure."
Yara Quillan suddenly fell silent, just staring quietly at the operating room ahead.
"Yara, Yara," Jared Monroe called out twice. Seeing that the person in his arms wasn't reacting, he grew nervous and quickly called for a doctor.
A doctor arrived quickly and examined Yara Quillan. He said she was just suffering from mental shock and would be fine as long as she rested well.
He added that she absolutely must not be subjected to any more shocks during this time. Otherwise, there was no telling what might happen to her.
Jared Monroe wanted Yara Quillan to rest in a hospital room. Strangely, while she didn't even react when the doctor examined her, the moment anyone tried to make her look away from the operating room, she would immediately fly into a panic.
