Elara's POV.
I stood near the wide bathtub, looking at Mrs. Valerie with pleading eyes. In spite of pleading to Mrs. Valerie that we should do it again, I was very disappointed that she did not want to put me back under the hypnosis because of certain complications with the water and my mind.
I wanted so badly to hear Kael's voice again, to finish the conversation we had started in that room, but Valerie stood firm and refused to let me step back into the tub.
"You are pushing yourself too hard, Elara," Valerie said, handing me a clean towel to dry my skin. "You are still blocking your past. You are not accepting what happened, and you are not living in peace with the mistakes you made."
I wrapped the towel around my shoulders, feeling a cold weight in my chest as I listened to her words.
