Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Awakening!

  Yun Feng nodded.

He stepped directly into the six-pointed star, and the golden light, guided by Locke's soul power, slowly flowed into Yun Feng's body.

Seeing these thin points of light, Yun Feng didn't hold out much hope.

After all, when Tang San awakened, the golden light filled the entire room.

Moreover, he had learned from Locke what his adoptive parents' martial souls were:

one was Blue Silver Grass, the other a vine—both ordinary people without soul power.

So, Yun Feng had prepared himself mentally from the start.

It was just a pity about the beauties in Douluo Continent, which made him slightly disappointed.

Locke also saw the light, a hint of disappointment flashing in his eyes, but he quickly adjusted his mindset and smiled at Yun Feng, saying,

"Little Feng, look at your martial soul!"

Locke had high hopes for Yun Feng, so he had Yun Feng learn about soul masters and soul beasts from a young age.

He even showed Yun Feng the soul beast encyclopedia he had copied when he was a deacon in the Spirit Hall.

Yun Feng noticed the hint of disappointment in Locke's eyes but didn't pay much attention.

After all, it was human nature.

Feeling something cracking and sprouting inside his body, a warm sensation flowing to his right hand, Yun Feng subconsciously reached out and opened it.

Under the gaze of a group of children and Locke, a red light accompanied by wisps of blue light condensed in Yun Feng's hand.

A seemingly weak red grass appeared in the center of Yun Feng's palm.

  Blue Silver Grass?

A question flashed through Yun Feng's mind, but this wasn't right.

Why was Blue Silver Grass red?

Blue Silver Grass was a plant commonly found in villages and along roadsides; Yun Feng couldn't possibly be mistaken. But why did it have a blood-red color?

Locke was also a little confused.

He had been a Soul Master for many years and had awakened more than just a few martial souls, yet he had never seen this kind of Blue Silver Grass before.

Looking at the grass in Yun Feng's hand, perhaps "Red Silver Grass" would be more appropriate?

Even so, it was still the most worthless martial soul on the continent!

Yun Feng's eyes were filled with deep disappointment, but he also sensed something was wrong. Why could he smell a bloody stench emanating from his martial soul?

Could it be due to the influence of his past life?

Thinking this, Yun Feng, to verify his guess, directly said to Locke,

"Grandpa Locke, I feel something's wrong with my Blue Silver Grass. Could you test its soul power for me?"

Hearing Yun Feng's words, a glimmer of hope appeared in Locke's eyes.

"That's right, Xiao Feng's martial soul has mutated. What if it has soul power?"

Thinking this, Locke picked up the crystal ball beside him and handed it over, quickly saying,

"Xiao Feng, come, let's test your soul power and see what's going on!"

Yun Feng nodded heavily, slowly extending his left hand and placing it on the crystal ball.

A suction force immediately came, and Yun Feng could feel something being mobilized within his body. Then, the crystal ball under his hand flashed with a light.

Locke's initially expectant gaze dimmed, though not as much as before; he still managed a slight smile at Yun Feng.

After all, having soul power was good enough; with soul power, one could become a Soul Master.

That was far better than being a commoner!

Even if it was only level one soul power.

Yun Feng didn't show much emotion; he had already guessed it.

After all, in this world where bloodlines matter, his ability to defy fate and gain soul power using Blue Silver Grass was already a miracle!

Of course, Tang San wasn't considered human.

Moreover, Yun Feng could clearly feel that his martial soul was indeed somewhat different, not just in color.

The moment he summoned his martial soul, he could feel that it seemed to devour his flesh and blood, much like those evil soul masters in the later stages of Douluo Continent.

They used slaughter to gain power.

However, Yun Feng was only speculating at the moment, and if possible, it was best to keep it a secret.

After all, the Spirit Hall strictly investigated these matters.

Otherwise, the City of Slaughter wouldn't have imprisoned so many people.

Before he had the strength, Yun Feng didn't want to reveal anything, lest he be seen as an outcast!

Yun Feng hadn't been idle in his training over the years, but in Douluo Continent, unawakened soul masters couldn't cultivate soul power.

So, their innate soul power was whatever it was; otherwise, those with full soul power would have been commonplace long ago.

Yun Feng didn't believe that the Spirit Hall hadn't experimented with things like having unawakened children meditate.

Therefore, this path is impassable. Innate soul power represents a soul master's future achievements and cultivation speed.

Innate level one soul power is undoubtedly only slightly better than Yu Xiaogang, a very low level.

In the entire Douluo Continent, Tang San is probably the exception; his Xuan Tian Gong allows him to compensate for his soul power later, achieving full innate soul power through internal energy conversion.

Yun Feng's current wheat-colored skin is the result of years of farm work and tanning.

As an elder, Locke, seeing Yun Feng's expression, assumed the child was discouraged and forced a smile, saying with a hint of regret,

"Xiao Feng, don't be discouraged, at least you have soul power! Although it's low, you can still cultivate. You have a mutated martial soul; your future achievements might not be low!"

"Being able to become a soul master already puts you ahead of 99% of the people on the continent!"

Yun Feng naturally knew that this world was exceptionally abnormal; it was absurd that the mainstream didn't even make up one percent!

The other children, seeing the small red herb in Yun Feng's hand, said enviously,

"Yeah, Brother Feng, look, none of us have awakened our soul power yet!"

Hearing these childish voices, Yun Feng couldn't help but laugh, then said to Locke,

"Grandpa, don't worry, I'm not discouraged at all, I'm overjoyed!"

After all, he knew there was a place where he could defy fate!

As long as he obtained those immortal herbs, his chance to rise to power would come, wouldn't it?

As for whether it would affect Tang San?

  Yun Feng didn't care.

His arrival was like a butterfly flapping its wings across the ocean.

Fate is called fate because it is indescribable and unobservable!

Besides, since they both transmigrated, whose fate is inferior to whose?

Since he had soul power, he would definitely embark on the path of a soul master in the future. Having experienced life and death, Yun Feng had long since become indifferent to all of this.

  There's a saying back home: "

Are kings and generals born with a special destiny?"

Having been reborn, how could he not make a name for himself?

After figuring this out, a glimmer of light shone in Yun Feng's eyes.

Locke was very satisfied to see his grandson like this.

Yun Feng didn't waste much time, after all, there were still children to awaken later.
