Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Is Talent Important?

Taking a level 2 innate soul power as an example, and considering the original novel states that cultivation speed is fastest before age 20, reaching a maximum of level 24 to 29.

Including soul power gained from absorbing soul rings, we need to subtract two levels of innate soul power plus two levels of soul ring power, resulting in a maximum of level 25.

Subtracting six years from age 20, we arrive at fourteen, averaging less than two levels per year. Yun Feng, with a level 1 innate soul power, reached level 2 in three months.

This means that theoretically, Yun Feng can cultivate an average of eight levels per year.

Of course, considering the increasing difficulty of cultivation as one progresses,

three to four levels per year shouldn't decrease the speed during the Soul Master stage.

By age 12, even with the innate soul power holding him back, his soul power should still reach level 20-something.

Of course, all of this is based on Yun Feng's own deductions and may not be reliable.

After all, without a systematic algorithm and considering various factors, constant cultivation is impossible.

Therefore, talent truly is the final straw that breaks the camel's back.

This is only possible because Yun Feng has this kind of overpowered cultivation method. Only through

continuous, uninterrupted cultivation can he barely

reach this level. For a Soul Master of the same level, without so many prerequisites, even a lifetime of effort might not be enough to reach level 30.

Yu Xiaogang was able to cultivate from level 0.5 to level 29 of the Great Soul Master realm entirely because he came from a privileged family.

For the average person, it's incredibly difficult to reach this level.

They might even give up on Soul Master cultivation altogether.

Soul rings are a problem; who would help a Soul Master with no future acquire a hundred-year-old Soul Beast?

  Talent, talent!

Just look at Tang San: morning classes, afternoon blacksmithing, and evening cultivation, his cultivation level skyrocketed.

Xiao Wu was even more outrageous; initially, she barely touched cultivation, but later, influenced by the competitive atmosphere, she

did manage a few movements, but while eating, drinking, and playing, she leveled up just like that.

  It's simply too absurd.

However, Yun Feng wasn't too worried. He understood the story of the tortoise and the hare!

Although he was born with a disadvantage, he now had a cheat code—not very strong, but enough! Several more days passed

  .

Yun Feng, having finished class and arrived at the cafeteria for lunch, was stopped by Xiao Wu.

"Xiao Feng, you're so diligent every day, no one's playing with me anymore!"

  Yun Feng chuckled sheepishly.

After thinking for a moment, he explained,

"Sister Xiao Wu, I can't help it. You're all Soul Masters now, and my Soul Power is only level two."

Xiao Wu, seeing that Yun Feng was now a head taller than her, felt a little powerless to refute him. Wasn't it normal for Soul Masters to cultivate Soul Power?

However, Xiao Wu felt a little strange seeing Yun Feng working so hard.

If she didn't cultivate a little herself, she would seem out of place.

So, Xiao Wu felt a little uncomfortable.

Tang San, completely oblivious to Xiao Wu's expression, directly said to her,

"Sister Xiao Wu, you should cultivate more too, otherwise you'll waste such a good talent!"

Actually, Tang San meant well, but Xiao Wu and Tang San weren't very close at the moment.

She had asked Yun Feng first, and hadn't mentioned herself.

  What was Tang San doing?!

Why was he bringing it up first?!

A rebellious feeling welled up inside her, and her opinion of Tang San changed completely.

  "Mind your own business!"

  "I..."

Tang San tried to explain when he saw Xiao Wu's reaction, but she simply walked away.

Yun Feng almost burst out laughing at this.

Wasn't this just shooting himself in the foot?!

Yun Feng didn't linger. He got a meal and sat down to eat alone in a corner.

He needed to cultivate; he didn't have time to waste on their antics!

Tang San wanted to shamelessly sit next to Xiao Wu, but Xiao Wu, in a bad mood, directly shooed him away. "Are you

kidding me? What's my status compared to yours? You

're a traitor to the Heavenly Gang!

How dare you lecture our leader!"

Helpless, Tang San then set his sights on Yun Feng.

He plopped down opposite Yun Feng and

  started eating,

glancing occasionally in Xiao Wu's direction.

Yun Feng didn't know what to say. Wasn't this just like those elementary school kids in his past life who deliberately made noise to attract attention?

As if a few more glances would reveal their deep affection.

Yun Feng just wanted to finish eating quickly and leave this troublesome place. What if

  he angered Tang San and

  ended up committing suicide?

After quickly finishing his meal, Yun Feng packed his things.

"Third Brother, I'm going to cultivate now. You eat slowly!"

  he said, and ran off.

A short while later, Yu Xiaogang arrived in front of Tang San, watching Yun Feng disappear like a whirlwind.

"This child's name is Yun Feng, right? He's quite clever and very hardworking. If his innate soul power were a few levels higher, he might actually achieve something. One level is still too low!"

"Some people's potential is determined at birth; not everyone can defy fate like me!"

Tang San, seeing Yu Xiaogang approach, ignored the latter part of Yu Xiaogang's words and instead became curious about Yun Feng's assessment.

  "Clever?"

Yu Xiaogang, hearing Tang San's question, explained,

"Yes, there are many Blue Silver Grasses in the back mountain. It's a natural, simulated environment that helps his cultivation, which is why he was able to discover it. He is indeed quite clever!"

Hearing this, Tang San looked intently at Yu Xiaogang and asked,

  "Teacher, what about me?"

"Can I also go to the back mountain to cultivate?"

Yu Xiaogang smiled and patted Tang San's head.

"Of course, but do you have time?"

"I attend classes with you in the morning, work at the blacksmith's shop in the afternoon, and only have a little time to cultivate in the evening."

Tang San realized the problem and scratched his head, looking a bit troubled.

In the end, he could only sigh and give up the idea.

After finishing his meal, Tang San said goodbye to Yu Xiaogang.

"Teacher, I'm going to work at the blacksmith's shop to train."

Yu Xiaogang had no reason to stop Tang San, especially after learning that Tang San was actually the son of his idol, Tang Hao.

As a master, he naturally knew the power of the Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique from the Clear Sky Sect's understanding of it.

Moreover, working there would allow him to train his body, earn money, and practice hammer techniques.

  This was a good thing!

Especially since his martial soul was still Blue Silver Grass, as a transitional martial soul, training his body was still very necessary!

Tang San was destined to become a strong person in the future, so familiarizing himself with the Clear Sky Sect's secret hammer techniques in advance

was a worthwhile thing no matter how you looked at it!

After all, good talent meant being able to be willful!

He could have more time to do other things.

Unlike Yun Feng, who could only focus on cultivation, the contrast was stark.
