Chapter 3 - Fire-Spitting Raptors

James walked slowly through the dense jungle, his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings while the floating camera drifted quietly beside his shoulder.

"I don't know what happened, guys," James said to the camera — the floating eye and camera icon hovering near him. His voice was still shaky, but calmer than before. "Suddenly I just got transported like this. This is unbelievable."

The jungle remained quiet except for distant insect sounds and rustling leaves.

The chat quickly responded.

This shouldn't be possible.

This is insane.

You literally teleported to a dinosaur world.

No way this is normal.

Most of them agreed with him.

This kind of thing simply wasn't possible.

James kept walking, carefully stepping over roots and pushing aside hanging vines. His shoulders were tense and his breathing was still slightly uneven. He looked around every few seconds, alert and anxious.

"I feel like another dinosaur could appear at any moment!" James hissed nervously. "This is crazy. Out of all the worlds I could have been sent to, why did it have to be a world filled with dinosaurs?"

The chat reacted immediately.

But isn't that awesome, James?

I like dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs are cool.

This is a top tier adventure for IRL streamers, though.

Then another message appeared.

We are focusing on the wrong thing here. This is some cosmic phenomena level problem. We should contact the authorities.

James slowed his steps slightly as he read that message.

His brows furrowed.

"The authorities…" he muttered softly.

That could actually be a good thing.

He needed a way to get out of here.

James knew that the number of viewers watching him had increased drastically. More people were watching now than ever before in his entire streaming career.

But if he was trapped here, then everything else would become meaningless.

Streaming, viewers, donations. None of it would matter if he died in this jungle.

Honestly, he didn't even know if he could survive the next few hours.

He was tired, injured, hungry, and thirsty. And stuck in a dinosaur-filled world.

"Well, guys… you do what you want," James said while looking at the floating camera. "I also want to get out of here as soon as possible. I'm not sure if I can survive for the next few hours."

He let out a weak breath.

"There is no food, no water. I'm tired and in pain."

The chat suddenly became quieter.

Then something unexpected happened.

A notification appeared in front of his vision.

[Donation Received: Alex_Morris — $3]

Another one followed.

[Donation Received: LunaStar — $5]

[Donation Received: DinoFan99 — $10]

[Donation Received: RiverStone — $2]

More and more notifications began appearing.

The chat was filled with supportive messages.

Stay strong, James.

Don't give up.

You can survive this.

We got you, bro.

Keep moving.

Never give up.

Stay alive.

More donations poured in.

Dollar after dollar. Support after support…

James slowly stopped walking and stared at the notifications.

His eyes widened slightly.

"This is… a lot…"

This was the first time he had ever received this many donations.

Back in his normal streams, he would be lucky to receive ten dollars in a day.

But now dozens of donations were pouring in within minutes.

James gave a weak smile.

"This is the first time I've received this much donation…" Then his smile slowly faded. "But what's the use of it if I'm going to die soon anyway…"

Suddenly, the system reacted.

New notifications appeared.

[Viewer Support Energy Detected]

[Donation Converted Into Resource Energy]

[Support System Activated]

James frowned. "What…?"

Another notification appeared.

[Donation: $3 > Health Support Granted]

A warm sensation suddenly spread through his body.

His chest felt lighter.

The pain in his mouth slowly faded.

The burning in his lungs weakened.

The scratches on his arms began healing slowly.

James widened his eyes.

"…What just happened?"

He touched his face.

The pain had reduced.

Not completely gone. But definitely better.

"I… feel better…"

The chat immediately reacted.

Wait, did you just heal?

No way.

The strange streaming system is healing him!

This is real support power.

Then another message appeared.

I want to give him a burger so he can eat.

A new notification appeared instantly.

[Donation: $10 > Food Support Granted]

Something suddenly appeared in James' hands.

He looked down. His eyes widened. It was a burger.

A real burger. Wrapped in paper and still warm.

"What the hell…"

His hands trembled slightly.

He slowly raised it toward the floating camera.

"Look at this, chat!" He turned the burger so the camera could see it clearly. "This just appeared in my hand."

The chat exploded.

No way!!!

That's fucking crazy!!!

The system spawned food.

Eat it, James.

You need energy.

More notifications appeared.

[Donation Received: $8 > Water Support Granted]

A bottle of water appeared beside him and dropped softly onto the ground.

[Donation Received: $12 > Supply Support Granted]

A small pack of energy bars appeared.

[Donation Received: $5 > Water Support Granted]

Another bottle of water materialized.

[Donation Received: $15 > Survival Supply Granted]

A small pouch of basic supplies appeared near his feet.

James stared at everything in complete shock.

Burger in his hand. Water on the ground. Food supplies beside him.

More items slowly appeared as donations continued.

The chat kept cheering.

We can supply him.

Keep donating.

Support the streamer.

Keep him alive.

LET'S GO, CHAT!!!

James slowly sat down on a fallen tree root, still holding the burger.

He looked at the floating camera with disbelief and gratitude mixed in his expression.

"You guys are literally keeping me alive right now."

His voice was honest.

He looked at the burger. Then at the water. Then at the chat.

A small genuine smile appeared on his face. He feels a strange closeness to his viewers.

"Thank you, chat."

He carefully unwrapped the burger and took a small bite. The warm meat and bread filled his mouth, and for a moment he almost felt like crying. Real food. It felt surreal in the middle of a prehistoric jungle.

He swallowed slowly and took another bite.

The chat began moving again.

You need to get stronger. Surviving like this won't be enough.

This feels like a fantasy anime situation.

Streamer isekai arc begins.

He needs levels, skills, and weapons.

Find magic or something.

Train like an RPG character.

James chewed slowly as he read the messages.

Fantasy anime…

That word stuck in his mind.

He drank some water and wiped his mouth.

"Fantasy anime, huh."

The jungle around him suddenly felt even more unreal.

Dinosaurs…. Magic-like system…. Streaming….

Donations turning into food and healing…

It really did feel like something straight out of an anime or a game.

Maybe he should start treating this world like that.

Maybe using Earth's logic here was the wrong approach.

Back on Earth, dinosaurs didn't exist anymore. Magic didn't exist.

Streaming systems that could create food directly out of donations definitely didn't exist.

So maybe this world has its own rules.

James looked at the floating camera.

"Chat… you're right. Maybe we should start thinking differently," he said slowly. "This world doesn't follow Earth's logic. Maybe there's magic in this world. Or something similar."

He frowned slightly.

"Or… another possibility…"

He looked up at the giant trees.

"Maybe I somehow got sent back to Earth millions of years ago and there is no magic."

The chat immediately exploded into discussion.

Magic world theory sounds more realistic.

No way this is ancient Earth, there's a streaming system. Hahaha. :D

Maybe alternate dimensions. Parallel universe maybe?

You got isekai'd, but into the dino world.

Definitely isekai.

Dinosaurs plus magic equals an awesome fantasy world. Don't you think?

Some messages were more serious:

We should analyze the ecosystem.

Check plants and animals.

Look for signs of civilization.

If there are magical creatures then it's not ancient Earth.

Try to find intelligent life.

While others were clearly just trying to be funny:

Congratulations, you are now the main character.

Find a dragon next.

Get started punching trees, man.

Build a dinosaur army.

James watched the chat for a few seconds. Then he slowly looked away.

He wasn't really reading them anymore.

His mind had already drifted somewhere else.

Magic. Ancient Earth. Another dimension.

None of it could be confirmed yet. But not entirely impossible.

He needed evidence. He needed information.

He needed to observe this world properly.

James stared quietly at the jungle ahead, deep in thought.

There were somehow still normal sized insects buzzed softly in the distance.

Leaves moved gently in the wind.

Everything seemed calm.

Too calm.

Then suddenly…

BOOOOM!

A loud explosion echoed from far away.

The ground vibrated slightly. Bird-like creatures flew up from the distant trees.

James immediately stood up. "What was that?!"

Another explosion followed.

BOOOOM!

This time it was clearer and louder.

James quickly turned his head toward the direction of the sound.

A thin column of dark smoke was rising above the jungle in the distance.

The chat reacted instantly.

Did you hear that?!

Explosion! That's definitely an explosion!

There's something happening over there!

It is a fight!

James looked at the floating camera and noticed something.

The camera-eye slowly rotated on its own. Then it turned toward the direction of the explosion.

It zoomed slightly and began focusing on the rising smoke in the distance.

The lens adjusted automatically, capturing the dark smoke rising above the giant trees for the viewers.

James narrowed his eyes.

The jungle wind carried the faint smell of burned wood and something unfamiliar from the direction of the explosion.

"Chat, I think we should look at this!" James said quickly, his voice tense but determined.

He knew he shouldn't ignore something like this. Anything unusual could mean danger… but it could also mean information, and information meant content for his viewers.

And right now, his viewers were the only reason he was still alive.

Without hesitation, James began moving toward the direction of the smoke, jogging carefully through the jungle while keeping his body low and his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings.

He pushed through thick bushes and stepped over tangled roots, trying to stay as quiet as possible.

He didn't want another T-Rex situation. Every few seconds, he looked around nervously.

The distant explosion still echoed in his ears.

The floating camera followed closely behind him, silently recording everything.

Branches scratched against his arms as he pushed deeper through the ancient jungle. The trees slowly became thinner, and the dense vegetation began to clear.

Light started pouring through the canopy.

Then James stepped out of the thick jungle.

His feet stopped moving.

In front of him was a wide open plain covered in yellowish grass stretching far into the distance. The wind moved gently across the field, making the grass sway like waves.

But that wasn't what caught his attention.

A few hundred meters ahead, something was happening.

James slowly crouched behind a bush and narrowed his eyes.

There was a group of dinosaurs in the middle of the plain.

A pack of smaller dinosaurs with red glowing skin surrounded two much larger horned dinosaurs.

The two larger ones looked injured.

Their movements were slow and unstable, and their bodies were covered in burn marks and wounds.

The smaller red-skinned dinosaurs were moving in a coordinated formation, circling them like predators hunting prey.

Then one of the smaller dinosaurs opened its mouth.

A bolt of fire shot forward.

FWOOOSH!

The small flaming projectile slammed into one of the horned dinosaurs.

The creature let out a loud, painful cry and staggered backward.

Another red-skinned dinosaur spat a second bolt of fire.

The second horned dinosaur roared in pain as flames struck its side.

James' eyes widened in shock.

The chat immediately erupted into chaos.

WHAT THE HELL?!

They are using fire!

ARE THOSE FIRE SPITTING RAPTORS?!

This is not ancient Earth anymore. That is definitely a fantasy world!

The smaller dinosaurs continued attacking, spitting bolts of fire one after another while slowly tightening their circle.

The wounded horned dinosaurs tried to defend themselves, swinging their heads weakly and letting out painful roars, but they were clearly losing strength.

The yellow grass around them was already burning in several places, and smoke rose slowly into the sky.

James' mouth slowly opened as he stared at the scene.

"This world…" he whispered, his voice filled with disbelief. He looked at the floating camera, his eyes still wide. "…has dinosaurs… and magic, chat."
