After dinner, the two left the cafeteria together.
Once they stepped outside the Third Cafeteria, Scarlett spoke calmly, "I'll wait for you in the car. Come find me when your class is over."
"Teacher Scarlett, why don't you head back and rest first? I can get back on my own."
Andrew really wanted to return by himself. Partly because he was still a little afraid of her… and partly because he had no idea how long the class meeting would drag on. He didn't want her waiting for too long
But Scarlett, who was already walking ahead, didn't agree. "I said I'd wait for you, so I will. Just don't dawdle too long after class."
She didn't leave him any room to argue and continued ahead.
What a forceful woman…
Andrew sighed, lamenting in his heart before heading to the classroom of Finance Class Four.
After waiting for a while, most of the students had arrived.
The ratio of boys to girls was fairly balanced, not overwhelmingly male, but not dominated by girls either.
After Ethan and his three roommates arrived, they all sat next to Andrew.
As soon as he arrived, Ethan bombarded Andrew with all sorts of questions, but Andrew brushed them off, and he learned nothing.
Instead, Ethan's roommate, Stark, suddenly said to everyone excitedly, "Have you guys seen our English teacher's photo? She's incredibly beautiful!"
His exaggeration was met with disdain from the other two, Tony and Bruce.
"'Incredibly beautiful'? She looks like a damn elementary schooler. How good-looking can she be?"
"Go search for Scarlett's name on the school's official website yourself. Even her ID photo is stunning."
A few seconds later, all three of them began to exclaim in unison.
"Holy crap! It's true. If she's this pretty in an ID photo, she must look even better in person."
It was common knowledge that ID photos usually had an uglifying effect.
Compared to the excitement of those three, Ethan and Andrew were very calm, even feeling a slight chill down their spines.
Seeing this, Tony asked curiously, "Why don't you two have any reaction?"
"Uh, we've already seen her today, so we're not that excited."
Andrew explained with a grin, and Ethan nodded repeatedly in agreement.
The psychological shadow Scarlett had left on them during the semester she subbed for their class made them afraid to even discuss her in front of others, fearing retribution.
Just then, their Counselor, Suzanne, walked in, and the classroom quickly fell silent.
Suzanne walked to the podium and said, "The school requires it, so I'll be recording everyone's self-introductions later. Don't be too nervous. Once the school receives it, it'll just be archived; nobody's going to watch it."
Suzanne had just graduated from university herself and particularly detested useless nonsense. She quickly skipped over the usual clichés and went straight into the self-introduction segment.
According to student IDs, a girl was the first to go up. Andrew was fifth.
Just as Suzanne was preparing to record, a message from Scarlett suddenly popped up on her phone.
"Have the self-introductions started in class yet?"
"They're about to start. Why?"
"Start a screen share. I've got nothing better to do, so I'll watch."
Suzanne was a little puzzled. Scarlett was usually the last person to care about this kind of thing, so why did she suddenly want to watch the students' self-introductions?
And if she was interested, why not just come to the classroom? Why did this feel so sudden?
Even so, Suzanne didn't question it and turned on screen sharing.
Sitting in her car, Scarlett watched the introductions as if she were tuning into a livestream.
The first student was a girl named Lucy. She was cheerful and talkative, going on about where she was from, her hobbies, her birthday, everything.
Scarlett barely paid attention.
The next was a boy, and his introduction clearly followed the same pattern.
Scarlett frowned slightly.
Is Andrew going to do the same?
"Isn't that basically giving away all your personal information?" she muttered under her breath.
She had already promised to look after him. There was no way she'd let him casually reveal everything about himself.
After a brief pause, she picked up her phone and sent Suzanne a message: "Tell them to keep their introductions short. No need to go into so much detail, it's taking too long."
"Makes sense. But why are you so concerned about the class meeting today?"
Faced with Suzanne's question, Scarlett simply replied, "I'm afraid your arm will get tired from holding the phone, and then you'll have another excuse to push some work onto me."
"Hehe, sometimes it's not an excuse, I really just don't know how to do it."
"Stop joking around and keep recording the video."
The class meeting continued. Scarlett didn't watch the next two students, casually setting her phone aside.
Until Suzanne's voice came through the phone again: "Next, Andrew."
Hearing this, Scarlett picked up her phone again, held it before her eyes, and watched Andrew on the podium.
"I wonder if this Little Fellow will be so nervous he stutters during his introduction?"
Scarlett propped her head on one hand, watching with great interest.
On the podium, Andrew stood up straight, paused for a moment to gather his thoughts, and spoke: "My name is Andrew, I'm from Brooklyn City. Please look after me."
After speaking, Andrew gave a polite nod and then stepped down. From the moment he went up to the moment he left, only ten seconds had passed.
"Pfft!"
Sitting in the car, Scarlett couldn't help but let out a laugh. "Was he so nervous that he kept it short, or did he plan it that way from the start?"
Judging by Andrew's natural and relaxed expression, Scarlett felt it was the latter, but this also made her feel strange.
"Am I really that scary?"
After the whole day, Scarlett was starting to lose her self-confidence because of Andrew.
She took out a mirror to check herself but didn't see anything fierce or malicious.
Back in the cafeteria, she had only glared at a boy who tried to hit on her; she hadn't even glared at Andrew.
---
In the classroom on the other side, after Andrew returned to his seat, Ethan said to him, "Your self-introduction was way too short, wasn't it? You should have said at least a few more words."
"Why say more?"
"I saw several girls in our class looking at you. If you'd introduced your hobbies or something, you might have gotten priority mating rights."
Andrew chuckled upon hearing this. "Even dogs won't date."
"Why?"
"What do you think the probability is that a college romance ends in marriage? Instead of wasting time and energy on that, it's better to do something else."
"Hiss, that actually makes quite a lot of sense."
After the self-introductions ended, Suzanne selected the class committee members and then began distributing military training uniforms.
Andrew grabbed his military training uniform and prepared to leave. Military training wasn't something every school in the country required, but at Blackthorn University, it was mandatory for all freshmen.
Seeing this, Ethan quickly called out to him, "Andrew, don't be in such a hurry to leave! Want to go grab some late-night snacks? Let's go together later. We won't have time once training starts tomorrow."
"I have something to take care of, so I'll pass. You guys go ahead."
As he spoke, Andrew had already squeezed through the crowd and disappeared.
Ethan raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What's gotten into him? Didn't he say he wasn't interested in dating? What could be more important than hanging out with his brothers?"
