Chapter 1 - The Son of Death's Fall from Grace

Disclaimer 1:

I will NEVER stoop low enough to use AI in art. All covers and accompanying artwork are made by me. I do use AI add-ons such as Grammarly to clean up grammar and clarity, but the story and overall structure are not AI.

Disclaimer 2:

This story is toxic yaoi first and foremost, story second, tbh. That being said, there will be attempts to level out their power imbalance to some degree. Ie; Kohaku will bite back and Ahluxtar isn't just going to be an asshole to Kohaku the entire time. It's gonna be really rough for Kohaku at the start, though. It's probably gonna be dogshit, but oh well. This is also the first story I have ever written.

Prologue:

Before anything had a name, there was Mahir—endless, indivisible, and alone. From its will came Grambin, the first god, who shaped existence from what had never been separate. The gods that followed claimed dominion over all things—life, death, time, fire, war—and built worlds where their most faithful would one day live forever. But paradise was never perfect. Even there, one could die.

A war broke out between the elite Goddess of Death, Shinami, and the Minor-god of Fire, Feyer. Feyer unlocked abilities comparable to the main gods. This set a new precedent for how high a minor-god could ascend. The war was not completely one-sided. Shinami's throne was shaken by the might of Feyer. Instead of subduing Feyer with her power alone, Shinami unleashed a massive plague on her opponent's planet. The population of the Fire World was decimated from 10 billion to just 5 billion. Before Feyer could strike back, Shinami threatened to force suicidal ideation on all of Feyer's subjects. Billions would be permanently sent to The Underway. Feyer eventually surrendered. He was strong-armed into a treaty limiting his population and power. Left broken and with demolished pride, Feyer's subjects prayed for a return to former glory.
