Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Memories That Won’t Let Go

/POP Lata/In her room, while she was deeply focused on writing a novel, she finally finished it.She smiled to herself, but suddenly her face turned dark when she missed Sana. Her heart felt hurt.[I miss him… these memories.][He was always by my side even though my mother didn't accept it.]

She forced a smile. Her eyes teared up, unable to control her emotions, her hands trembling as she wiped her tears. She breathed heavily. She looked at the window, feeling fresh air with a gentle wind in the early morning. Her heart felt hurt, tormented by these memories every single day. She had been trying very hard to distract herself from these memories by continuing to write her novel constantly.

[I wish he could have a happy life with that girl.]

Lata shook her head. "This is my fault. I lost his trust. There is no way I could have another second chance. Trust is very important in a relationship. But I have been ruining it... This is a big lesson for myself. Lucky I still have a friend."

She continued to write, but she couldn't. Her tears couldn't stop dropping onto the only paper draft she had written.[I remember when I finished writing a chapter, he would cheer for me, read it, and comment on it. His face always showed a happy expression, but this time no one....]

Her face frowned in a painful way, struggling on her own legs. These days, she couldn't concentrate on anything because her mind only had Sana. She even called his name in her sleep.

[What should I do now? How can I overcome these feelings? In the past, I made it so easily. But why can't I now?][Memories, yes, these memories are making me feel hurt. They're haunting me. Every day, every second. How can I...]

Without realizing it, she opened her phone and made a phone call to the only person she could trust right now. Lata struggled to hold the phone while she lowered her head in depression.

[She is the only one I can rely on this time. I'm so weak.]

The phone connected, but Lata was lost in thought and didn't say any words.Lyly's worried voice came through. "Are you sad?"Lata forced a smile, controlling her voice to be normal but still struggling. "Yes, I miss him so badly."

Lyly could hear her choking voice while Lata didn't realize it.Lyly said, "I can understand how it feels. Like it's haunting you every second, every day, and you can't even think about anything else, right?"

Lata didn't hide her sadness. "You know it very well. Have you ever loved someone?"Lyly smiled. "Yes, but my love stayed only by my side. He never knew about it. When he left, I regretted it."

[I never heard about this.]Lata stopped her sadness and spoke in a curious voice. "Who is that?"Lyly said in a calm voice, "He is my special one. He is my best friend. But he does not exist in this world anymore."

Lata felt sad. "That's a sad story."

Lyly, with a determined voice, said, "Yes, but I don't regret having feelings for him."

[I regret abandoning him at that time. I wish I could go back to the old times.]

Lata asked, "How can you overcome it?"

Lyly forced a smile. "I still can't, but I've hidden it."

Lata worried, "We have the same fate. That's so painful, trauma remaining from memory."

Lyly laughed softly. "I miss him all the time. He is my happiest memory in life."

Lata said, "You're so strong."

Lyly said, "No, I still haven't given up on him."[But she said he does not exist. What does she mean by that? I wouldn't ask her about it. She is still mysterious after all.]

Lata remembered the first time she met her.[When Lyly was curious about my brother, by the way he looked like someone she had been searching for. At that time, there were a lot of misunderstandings, but strangely, she never came to talk to Sana, and now she even forgets about him. This is strange.]

Lata said in a calm voice while trying to calm herself, clinging to her cheek, "I want to meet you." Her voice trembled.Lyly replied in a soft voice, "Yes, anytime you want."

While they were having a peaceful conversation in the peaceful morning, there was a man who leaned his shoulder on the wall near Lata. His place had no light, just darkness, a cold world.

The picture of the room was so beautiful, the light and darkness complementing each other.

Sana God heard their conversation. His face was unreadable while looking at Lata's hurt face, while she pretended to force a smile to herself."I feel bad about myself when I only think about myself and not about Lata. I even betrayed her with my dirty thoughts about Lyly. I should be sorry for her, right?"

Suddenly, the darkness grew stronger in the corner of the room. Lata could feel it, but she thought it was just her imagination. An evil plan formed in his mind when he remembered Lyly's face. He giggled creepily.

"I have been lying to myself all this time. But if I don't have Lyly, I will have to face reality and destroy that thing to make me guilty of my love like this."

"Hahahahahaha....."
