The Euphoria Dragon, also known as the Chaos Dragon…
Unlike the traditional chromatic dragons and metallic dragons that lived on the Material Plane…
Euphoria Dragons were planar dragons—true natives of the Outer Planes.
Like all planar dragons, they naturally inherited the characteristics of their home plane.
They were also born with a unique ability called Planar Assimilation, allowing them to gradually reshape their surroundings into an extension of their native plane.
In another world's terminology…
It was essentially a kind of Reality Marble.
The so-called Outer Planes were worlds attached to the Material Plane, each possessing its own unique nature.
The divine realms of mythology…
Heaven…
Hell…
The Abyss…
If such places truly existed, they would all be considered Outer Planes.
The homeland of the Euphoria Dragon was Elysium.
The very same Elysium from which Elysia's name was derived.
It represented the Eternal Paradise—a perfect embodiment of natural goodness and benevolence.
An endless wilderness of vibrant greenery and idealized natural beauty…
Untamed.
Free.
Unaffected by laws or rigid order.
If compared to Earth's mythology…
It resembled the paradise where deities such as Artemis, Aphrodite, the Muses, Ishtar, along with countless fairies, nymphs, dryads, and similar beings would gladly dwell.
Growing up in such a world…
Euphoria Dragons naturally possessed cheerful, carefree personalities.
As spirits of nature…
It wasn't strange that Aiyu had managed to hide within Lewis's nature-rich demiplane long enough to evade his detection.
These dragons possessed butterfly-like wings.
Their scales shimmered with countless brilliant colors.
Their whip-like tails seemed to dance gracefully in an invisible breeze.
Adult Euphoria Dragons naturally possessed beautiful singing voices and extraordinary acting talent.
They were artists born from joy itself.
They could freely transform their appearance.
They also possessed innate psionic abilities, capable of spreading happiness and delight to everyone nearby.
As dragons…
They possessed two different breath weapons.
One affected the body.
A devastating Sonic Breath.
The other targeted the mind.
A Confusion Breath capable of throwing victims into complete mental chaos.
Naturally…
They were also completely immune to sonic attacks themselves.
Beyond those innate abilities…
Like all dragons, Euphoria Dragons were natural spellcasters.
They could wield both arcane and druidic magic with ease.
Which explained perfectly why a young Euphoria Dragon had become the ideal familiar for Lewis.
First…
She was a dragon.
Second…
As a dragon, she was a natural arcane spellcaster.
Third…
As a planar dragon from Elysium, she commanded the power of nature.
Finally…
As a dragon embodying celebration and joy, she possessed formidable psionic abilities.
Dragon.
Arcane magic.
Nature.
Psionics.
Didn't that perfectly correspond to the dragon's blood used in the ritual…
And Lewis's own three magical specialties?
Of course…
Almost everything mentioned above had very little to do with Aiyu herself.
The current Aiyu was only five years old.
Still just a baby.
How could anyone expect a baby dragon to display the overwhelming might of an adult dragon?
That said…
Her potential was unquestionably limitless.
Looking at the kitten-sized dragon sitting expectantly before him…
Lewis smiled.
"Since you're my dragon…"
"Let's form our contract."
"Yay!"
"I've been waiting for you to say that!"
The little Euphoria Dragon happily wagged her tail and hurried over, stretching her tiny head toward him.
Lewis gently placed his hand atop her head.
A soft radiance blossomed.
He immediately felt an invisible connection forming between them.
Their magic…
Their power…
Even their destinies…
Were now intertwined.
Then…
The tiny dragon suddenly began growing.
Within moments…
She expanded from the size of a cat…
To nearly the size of a horse.
"…What?"
Lewis stared in surprise.
He had never heard of dragons possessing such an ability.
Meanwhile…
Little Aiyu was positively thrilled.
"Look!"
"I got bigger!"
"I'm prettier now too, right?"
"And now I can carry you on my back!"
"My dragon friends back in Elysium are definitely going to be jealous!"
So…
His familiar had existed for all of one second before upgrading into a mount.
Seeing Lewis's confusion, Aiyu explained proudly,
"Normally dragons grow older before they grow bigger."
"But I grow stronger whenever you become stronger."
"So don't be fooled by how I look!"
"I'm still just a child!"
"Even if I'm really big…"
"Covered in scales…"
"And can use planar magic whenever I want…"
"I'm still a child!"
She emphasized the last sentence repeatedly.
Apparently…
She believed that constantly reminding her master of her young age would earn her extra affection.
Only then did Lewis understand.
Through the familiar contract…
Their magical power had become linked.
Aiyu's strength had been forcibly synchronized with Lewis's own.
She had effectively jumped straight from hatchling to adulthood.
Fortunately…
Euphoria Dragons were naturally among the smaller dragon species.
Otherwise…
She would have become enormous.
Even so…
This wasn't truly her own power.
If the contract were ever broken…
She would immediately shrink back to her original hatchling size.
The newly grown dragon happily ran around the demiplane.
She even eagerly invited Lewis onto her back for another flight.
But before long…
She grew bored.
Shrinking back into her hatchling form…
She flew onto Lewis's shoulder.
She even had a perfectly reasonable explanation.
"Because I'm a baby."
"So you're supposed to carry me."
She really was an adorable little troublemaker.
Still…
As a familiar…
She provided Lewis with tremendous benefits.
Familiars naturally possessed the ability to Deliver Touch Spells, allowing them to cast touch-based magic on behalf of their masters.
More importantly…
Master and familiar shared a Life Link, enabling them to pool their life force.
For ordinary familiars…
This ability wasn't particularly remarkable.
But Aiyu wasn't an ordinary familiar.
Even though an adult Euphoria Dragon remained relatively small compared to other dragons…
She was still a true dragon.
Her vitality far surpassed that of an ordinary human.
Thanks to the Life Link…
Lewis's life force was no longer merely that of a human.
It had become…
One human plus one dragon.
With such absurd vitality…
Lewis suspected he might actually survive taking Voldemort's Killing Curse head-on.
In addition…
Master and familiar also shared Senses…
And even Abilities.
Not only could Aiyu draw upon Lewis's magic and spellcasting…
Lewis could likewise borrow Aiyu's innate gifts.
Whenever necessary…
He could strengthen his own arcane magic…
His druidic powers…
And even his psionic abilities…
Through her.
That was precisely why Aiyu was his perfect familiar.
Finding another creature that naturally combined all three forms of power would be extraordinarily difficult.
When Lewis finally brought Aiyu into the Ravenclaw common room…
The entire house exploded with excitement.
Within a single day…
Every Ravenclaw student knew that Lewis Green owned a tiny dragon that could actually talk.
Even in the magical world…
Where bizarre creatures were hardly uncommon…
A talking pet was still something astonishing.
Had Lewis not experienced such a tremendous increase in strength…
He wouldn't have dared reveal Aiyu so openly.
But now…
He could confidently guarantee…
No one would ever take her away from him.
If that was the case…
Why should he force the little dragon to stay home alone?
Freedom was in her very nature.
She had crossed countless worlds just to become his familiar.
She trusted him so completely.
If he had the ability…
Then the least he could do…
Was never make her feel confined again.
