۞ The Hidden War
The Hidden War is a battle between the Dark Army and the Moon Council that has been raging for over one thousand years. Humanity as a whole remains completely unaware that this ancient conflict is happening in the shadows of their world.
۞ The Dark Army
The Dark Army is ruled by the Darklord, a primordial being who has been sealed away since the beginning of the Hidden War. The Dark Army consists of several classes of creatures known collectively as Dark Spawns.
These include:
▶ Sovereigns
▶ Disciples
▶ Dark Beasts
▶ Dark Specters
▶ Humanoids and Lesser Humanoids
All Dark Spawns — except for Sovereigns and Disciples — are ranked using a class system. The ranking starts from E-Class (lowest) and goes up to S-Class (highest).
۞ Sovereigns
There are six (6) sovereigns in total. They are each fragments of Darkness who each rule over one of the seven fortresses located throughout the Dark realm.
۞ The Moon Council
The Moon Council was formed over one thousand years ago by the Moon itself.
Its purpose is to:
▶ Defend the human realm from the Dark Army
▶ Ensure the Darklord's seal is never broken
The Moon Council consists of:
▶ Apostles
▶ Moon Warriors
▶ Moon Envoys
▶ Evangelists
▶ Specialist Units
Combat ranks within the Moon Council are:
Captain ➜ Lieutenant ➜ Senior Ranger ➜ Ranger ➜ Recruit (These ranks are only tied to the Moon Warriors).
۞ Apostles
Apostles are eight (8) humans chosen by the moon to wield fragments of its powers. These eight (8) humans are the only ones capable of wielding true magic. They are the most powerful warriors in the entire moon council court. Each Apostle has a unique title granted to them by the moon.
۞ Apostle Title
These titles bestowed by the moon grants the Apostle a unique and powerful aspect.
۞ Rifts
Rifts are portals connecting the Human Realm to the Dark Realm. There are three types of rifts.
۞ Dark-gate Rifts
Open on the third day of each week. These rifts allow Dark Spawns to invade the Human Realm.
۞ Moon-gate Rifts
Open on the seventh day of each week. They allow the Moon Council to enter the Dark Realm and launch counterattacks.
۞ Sovereign-gate Rifts
Extremely rare rifts that appear only when enough dark energy accumulates. When one opens, it allows a Sovereign to enter the Human Realm. These events are considered catastrophic.
۞ Moon Gateways
Moon Gateways are teleportation portals used by the Moon Council. They allow Moon Warriors to deploy instantly to any location where Dark Spawns appear.
۞ Moonlight Barriers
Moonlight Barriers exist in each of the 30 nations across the Human Realm. They serve as detection systems that:
▶ Detect rift openings
▶ Pinpoint rift locations
▶ Determine how many Dark Spawns appear
▶ Identify the rank of those Dark Spawns based on dark energy signatures
۞ Dark Cores
Dark Cores are dropped when a Dark Spawn is defeated. They can be used to:

Weapon Arts are unique abilities channeled through Celestial Arms. Examples include:

Weapon Arts vary depending on the user's weapon and abilities.
۞ Ultimate Weapon's Art
As the name suggest, this is the most powerful skill or ability that a person is able to unleash from their celestial art. It requires a specific sacrifice to activate and has severe backlashes. [Warning - only use if your life depends on it!]
۞ Celestial Arms
Celestial Arms are weapons used by Moon Warriors. Each Celestial Arm is unique to its wielder and contains:
▶ Its own skills
▶ Special abilities
▶ Passive traits
They also include a visual user interface that allows warriors to track skill unlocks and evolution stages. (And yes, the UI opens on command. It does not float in front of your face all day. That would be weird.) Celestial Arms require Moonlight Energy to function.
۞ Moonlight Energy
Moonlight Energy is the power absorbed by Moon Warriors directly from moonlight. It is used to:
▶ Activate Weapon Arts
▶ Power abilities
▶ Sustain combat techniques
Each warrior has a different capacity for storing Moonlight Energy. This is generally called energy reserves.
۞ Dark Armaments
Dark Armaments are weapons used by members of the Cult of Tar. They were once Celestial Arms that were corrupted using dark energy. They function similarly to Celestial Arms but require dark energy instead of moonlight.
۞ Cult of Tar
The Cult of Tar is a secret group of humans who have formed contracts with a Sovereign. In exchange for dark magic, they hunt members of the Moon Council. They are considered extremely dangerous enemies.
۞ Aura Coat
Aura Coat is a technique used by Moon Warriors. It coats the body in condensed energy like a second skin. Effects include:
▶ Increased defense
▶ Minor regeneration
۞ Primordials
Primordials are cosmic beings that exist beyond the Human Realm. They govern fundamental aspects of reality and rule over their own domains. Their domains are vast regions containing unique inhabitants and landscapes. Many secrets about the true nature of the cosmos are hidden within these domains.
