The forest at night breathed in shadows, each tree a silent sentinel under a silvered moon.A chill wind whispered secrets through the leaves, carrying the scent of damp earth and decay.
Somewhere unseen, eyes glimmered, and the quiet was alive with the pulse of hidden creatures.
Kyle was in his makeshift bed, eyes closed but he could still see the nexus screen.
'You should get some rest bond. ' said nexus. ' they will still be there by morning now you need to kat your body heal.Too bad your scars from long ago won't heal but we'll try something in the future. '
'Yeah your right. You know even though I don't know the consequences for having you I would have still accepted you. '
With that he fell asleep.
'Sleep little one for once it begins rest will no longer be in your vocabulary. ' the nexus thought.
Morning came fast. Mira came and woke Kyle up. " hey sleepy head were moving. We need to get to the capital before night. So it'll be a fast ride. "
Kyle looked at her then woke up. He had barely spoken to them since they met. His social skills were at the lowest due to being secluded his entire life. Ren was nowhere to be seen and Aaron was packing whatever he needed.
Mira noticing Kyle's gaze said.
" He went to get breakfast he'll be back. " Kyle just nodded and talked to Nexus.
'Hey can I claim the rewards now?' he asked and almost immediately he got his answer.
' Yeah you can claim them anytime you want. I just thought you needed rest smthats why I didn't say. Just will it and it'll happen.'
Jyke reached inward and willed to claim the katana arts first. He was curious about the tecnique that could cut into the future.
As he willed it a sudden wave of information flooded his mind.

'Daaammnnn I just slash and it reaches him.That means I can like boom and one down.' he exploded after reading uts description. He could imagine this was real. He had to try it out because this couldn't be true.
'Bond, I understand your excitement but you have to at least have a decent amount of strength before you try it or else you'll blow your hands off.' Nexus interrupted.
'W-what do you mean blow my hands off??'
he asked a little startled that mid fight his hands can explode due to his tecnique.
' You do know that the tecnique cuts through real space right? and as far as I hate to break it to you your too weak to use it. The backlash will destroy you if not kill you.'
He was shocked as he heard that.
"Hey your making weird faces. What are you thinking of?" asked Mira as she walked over.
She was dressed in a battle armour but it still couldn't hide her curves. Kyle found himself staring again then a chuckle broke him off his trance.
" Staring isn't bad but too much of it can bring trouble. " Mira said with a teasing grin on her face. She knew she was beautiful and decided to tease Kyle with it.
Kyle looked away sharply then asked.
" If I may Miss Mira, what is your mark?" he asked. She looked at him and wondered what was wrong with him.
'doesn't he know that asking for someone's mark is like asking someone his secret.?'
She thought then decided to tell him because if a fight broke he will see her use it and then he can guess.
" I have a water mark. What about you ?"
Kyle looked at her and said "ice mark,though it's only a tier 3 potential."
" You know we didn't ask yesterday but what are you doing in this forest alone Kyle?Was it a death wish or something because not even idiots cross hear alone. So you are either retarded or you were looking for death."
Mira said.Her voice turning stern while she looked at the boy infront of her. As Kyle was opening his mouth a voice boomed.
"Hey your all awake. I brought breakfast. "
Ren emcame through the woods a large deer like creature hang loosely on his shoulder as his other hand dragged a wild boar. He walked lazily as if the weight didn't bother him in the slightest.
" Hey you know we need lighter luggage. Why bring something like that? "Mira snapped at Ren who looked away innocently as he muttered
" I had killed the deer then on my way back I accidentally tripled on it and killed it. So I couldn't leave it behind.And besides a meal combining the two is sweet don't you think?"
he asks looking as innocent as he can be. Kyle couldn't believe what he was hearing. ' he accidentally killed a teir 3 beast??'
'yeah don't be surprised. Out there there are people who can easily move mountains so get used to it.' Nexus snapped back at him.
"Ohh your awake young one. " Ren said as he looked at Kyle and gave him a small nod.
Kyle was still wary of them. Hiw could they help him just like that?? It's impossible right?
Soon Mira prepared breakfast and Kyle for the first time ate to his fill. Back at his house he never ate. anything more than he was given. Something stirred inside him but as quickly as it came he killed it.
'You can't get hurt when you don't feel anything. ' he told himself.
Nexus could hear his thoughts since they are bonded together felt pity.
'how can a 15 year old already think this way? such a broken world.'
The trio talked about their plans at Gilbizard with Kyle just sitting there listening to them. He zoned out and decided to check his other reward. As his counciusnes entered the inventory he spotted the Katana. It was sheathed with a black hilt with red like runes embedded on the sheath. He willwd it and the blade came out slowly exposing itself.
It was as darker than the abyss. From his counciosness alone he could feel the ancient aura radiating from it. Sharp killing intent coming from it. He felt that any step closer and he would be beheaded. He iukked out from his counciousness.
'Nexus what was that?' he asked
'Well you haven't bonded with it yet so it doesn't recognize you. Remember it has its own will but it cannit act own it's own. '
Kyle was surprised even further. A katana that has imhis own will what itf he wielded it. That ancient power will be his.
He would have summoned it and binded with it right there but he knew better than anyone what humans could turn to. He also checked the last item. The void essence was a dark liquid in a vial swirling gently. He could sense his void power reacting to it. He had learnt that there was an academy at Gilbizard and he planned to attend it. He needed geniuses to compete with and he was sure in that kingdom The academy was the best place.
After breakfast they all parked and left the forest. They entered a long road and after a while they spotted people. All of them the same destination,the grand kingdom of Gilbizard.
