I took a deep breath and checked myself in the mirror, which was kind of stupid considering that nobody was going to see the real me in the stream.

At the same time, for all I knew, she could be hiding in the shadow somewhere watching me.
I sent a message to Abigail earlier that I just wanted to stay in bed and sleep through the night. Brian had come home and prepared dinner for me but went straight to his room after that. Mom wasn't home—again.
