Chapter 23 - Ch-22 Yellow energy

6 years timeskip~

 In the University of Torminas.

A man is seen walking through the long passage towards something.

It was Draves.

He was walking through the stone corridors with a purpose sharp enough to cut through the murmuring students. His dark robe swayed behind him, the silver insignia of an arcanist glinting faintly under the afternoon light. His expression was calm, but his eyes searched—precise, calculating.

"Kira…" he muttered under his breath.

That boy had vanished again.

As he turned a corner near the eastern faculty wing, he spotted a familiar figure leaning against a pillar, flipping through a book of warriors.

It was Lisa, a genius Arcanist and one of the great wardens of wisdom overwhelmed with a beautiful face and white hair which can make any man fall for her. Her strength could be purely seen through her hands and her legs.

"Lisa," Draves called.

She looked up, her sharp eyes narrowing slightly. At her front she saw a man about fifty-five years old looking at her and was in some kind of hurry.

"Draves", she called out. "Why are you in such a hurry..." "Does that boy really vanished again...", She said while looking at Draves and putting the small book in her pocket as she speak.

"Yay,", Draves replies flatly. "Have you seen Kira?"

Lisa paused for a moment, thinking. Then she shook her head. "No. He hasn't been in the training grounds today. Honestly, he's been… strange lately."

A faint breeze passed through the corridor, carrying with it a subtle tension. Without another word, Draves turned away.

Where is that boy... man.

---------

The gates of Torminas creaked open as Draves stepped out into the outer grounds. Just beyond, near the training field, he spotted a boy waving energetically. He was a boy with a good-looking face with a black hair and pale green eyes.

"Elvin."

"Sir Draves!" Elvin ran up, slightly out of breath but smiling as always. "Looking for Kira, right?"

Draves raised an eyebrow. "You already know."

"He left early morning, from the dorms," Elvin said, pointing toward the distant mountain range barely visible through the haze. "He said he was going to Victoria Mountain."

Draves' expression hardened.

"Alone?" he asked.

Elvin nodded.

Without another word, Draves turned and began walking—no, almost gliding—toward the forest path leading to the mountain.

---------

Victoria Mountain was no place for a student.

The deeper Draves went, the quieter the forest became. Even the wind seemed hesitant to move. Broken branches and disturbed earth told a silent story—something had passed through here recently.

Or someone.

It was also the place from where Kira new life begins. The place where he becomes unconscious due to the injuries which had caused due to falling from great height. Off course, he would have died at that time but due to luck or I could say, he was saved by Steaven, Stok and Ino camp which were going to investigate the wild beast attack Incident in Rigor village.

And then he saw something at a distance.

A massive creature lay collapsed against the rocks. Its body was thick and fur-covered like a bear, but its size rivaled that of an elephant. Burn marks spread across its torso, faint smoke still rising.

Draves' eyes narrowed.

A few steps ahead—another body.

And then a third.

All of them defeated.

"…Impressive," Draves murmured.

A faint crackle echoed in the air.

Electricity.

He followed the sound, and there—on a ridge overlooking the forest—stood Kira.

The boy's scarf fluttered in the wind, his figure silhouetted against the dim sky. Yellow lightning flickered faintly around him and his sword, crawling across his arms like living veins and his white clothes making him look like some kind of hero.

"Oh, seem like someone has came", He said turning his face backwards. "You found me", He said giving a smile.

The face which was just gloomy and depressed was not there.

Draves approached slowly, observing the aftermath. "You killed them."

"Um, yay there were just as I was going to meditation."

"You are not allowed to leave campus right..."

".....Sorry...", Kira said rubbing the back side of his hair with his right hand and smiling.

"Ok then, lets go", Draves said patting and rubbing Kira black head while he was putting his sword into its sheath"

"Your mana possession is increasing man. Even though you don't possess any blessed authority but your mana nature of electricity helps you to fight."

"..."

For a brief moment there was silence.

And then~

A deep growl shattered the stillness.

Draves' eyes snapped toward the forest.

Four more beasts emerged from the shadows, their massive bodies crushing the undergrowth beneath them. Their eyes glowed with hostility, drawn by the scent of battle.

"…Ambush," Draves said calmly.

Kira finally turned, his eyes sharp, glowing faintly with yellow energy within his eyes and then he unsheathes his sword.

The air around him began to hum.

Lightning sparked violently, illuminating the dark forest in flashes.

"Watch me, old man. I will show you the true what your student can do."

The ground trembled as the beasts charged.

And in the next instant—

Thunder roared.

In that moment.

Kira released a slash made of thunder towards the beast and slowly charged towards another beast in some distant.

And in the blink of eye Kira slashed one beast head and another one gets a large wound around the stomach and it fells down.

And in the front Draves saw Kira holding the sword which is releasing yellow energy and his glowing eyes looking at the soul of bears.
