Boss and I walked quickly toward the car, our steps uneven with urgency. As Angelo started the engine, it came alive with a deep sound, and within seconds, we were moving through the dim streets.
I turned my face toward him, trying to read his expression.
"Who kidnapped her?"
He didn't answer.
The silence inside the car felt heavy… suffocating.
"Angelo, tell me," I said again, my voice tighter this time.
He let out a slow breath, his fingers gripping the steering wheel.
"She's with her stepdad."
For a moment, everything inside me went still.
"He used to hurt her… her and her mother," Angelo continued, his voice low. "Everything she went through… all that pain… it's because of him. He controlled her life, made her do things, treated her like she didn't matter. And one day…"
He stopped.
I looked at him, waiting.
"But what?"
"He crossed every limit, he raped her" Angelo said quietly.
A cold feeling spread through my chest.
"When we found out, we rushed her to the hospital. The doctor said she had buried those memories somewhere deep… but if she faces him again, everything could come back. And this time… she might not be strong enough to handle it."
I looked away, staring out of the window as the city lights passed by in a blur.
Something inside me felt like it was falling apart.
I couldn't let that happen to her again.
Not this time.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"To his club."
"Club?"
"He sent me her location… and told me to come before he finishes what he started."
My jaw tightened.
We reached the club, bright lights flashing outside, music vibrating even from a distance. I pushed the car door open and stepped out.
Just as I was about to go inside…
I saw him. yuri
For a second, I just stared.
Him?
He was behind all this?
A mix of shock and anger rushed through me.
How could he do something like this… to someone he knew?
Without thinking, I walked straight toward him and grabbed him, confronting him. The moment got out of control, and we struggled until he fell down.
"How could you do this?" I said, my voice shaking with anger.
Before I could do anything else, someone pulled me back strongly.
"Let me go!"
"Keifer, stop," Angelo's voice came sharp and firm. "We have to find her."
I closed my eyes for a second and forced myself to breathe.
He was right.
I turned and walked into the club.
The moment I stepped inside, loud music hit my ears. Lights flashed in different colors, people moving, laughing, dancing—like nothing else in the world mattered.
But for me… everything felt distant.
I scanned every face, every corner, trying to find her.
Suddenly, Angelo grabbed my arm and pulled me toward a quieter corner.
"Keifer, calm down," he said, his tone serious.
"I am calm," I replied, though my voice said otherwise.
He looked at me and then said,
"I know where she is."
"Then let's go."
I followed him quickly, my heartbeat growing louder with every step—
And then suddenly—
Something struck my back hard.
A sharp pain shot through my body, forcing the air out of my lungs. My vision blurred as I dropped to the ground, unable to hold myself up.
Through the haze, I saw Angelo lose his balance too.
Whoever it was…
They were already there
Waiting.

When I opened my eyes, everything felt heavy.
For a moment, I didn't understand where I was. The room was unfamiliar… quiet, except for the faint sound of music coming from somewhere far away, like it didn't belon
I tried to move my hand—
A sharp pain shot through me.
That's when I realized… I was tied to a chair. Not a wooden one, but cold metal.
I tried moving my legs too, but they wouldn't budge. They were tied as well.
The room felt strange—silent, yet filled with warm lights glowing from every corner. It should have felt calm… but it didn't. It felt wrong.
Then the door opened.
My breath caught.
It was him.
The one person I never wanted to see again… the one I had tried so hard to forget.
And yet, there he was.
I don't remember everything he did… but I remember enough. The fear. The pain. The way he used to hurt us every single day
And then one day, he just disappeared… like he never existed.
Until now.
He walked closer, a faint smirk on his face.
I shut my eyes tightly—
And suddenly, flashes hit me
Blurry memories… him, unsteady, too close… the fear I felt back then, the way everything seemed to freeze around me.
It all came rushing back.
His presence felt exactly the same tear came down through my cheek and disappears in my shist unsettling, suffocating.
I couldn't take it anymore.
I just wanted one thing.
"Please…" I whispered weakly, my voice trembling.
"Someone save me… Keifer, please… come take me."
But he heard me.
His footsteps came closer.
He grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him. The grip hurt, but I couldn't pull away.
"Hi, Jean," he said in a low, unsettling voice. "Did you miss me?"
I turned my face, trying to escape his hold.
Suddenly, his hand covered my mouth tightly, making it hard to even breathe properly.
"Look," he said, his tone cold, "I just want to finish what was left incomplete… before your cousin interrupted."
He pushed my face away roughly, and my head jerked back against the chair.
For a moment, everything went still again.
Then he turned and walked out of the room, saying something to someone outside that I couldn't hear.
The door closed.
And I was left there…
Alone
The music still playing faintly in the distance, the lights still glowing around me—
But all I could think about was one thing.
I had to get out of here.
