Synopsis
I read a webnovel in one day. Then I woke up inside it. At first, I thought I got lucky because clearly diamonds were insanely valuable and my 'dad' owned all the diamond mines in the world. So I thought I was rich. Yeah…no. Turns out diamonds are completely worthless here. And now I’m broke. Wait. Why do I look like the antagonist that dies later on in the story? And why is The Crown Prince acting strange around me?

Chapter 1 - A World Without Value.

It was supposed to be a normal day.

A normal day of going to work and eating a shitty meal costing my hourly wage.

I wanted to do something different for once instead of lazing around and repeating every day over and over again.

I should've just continued on with my boring life.

I went on my phone after my tiresome shift which frankly might be breaking the laws one way or another, but it's not like I can say anything, this is the only job I've been able to get after 3 months of searching.

An advertisement shows up on my phone, to be honest... I think my phone has a virus but I don't really have the money to check it out. The same advertisment keeps popping up.

I click on it.

A paywall! Are you serious!!?

But... My days have been kind of boring lately... And my paychecks tomorrow!

It's a webnovel, and it's only a one time payment!

The cover looks above average and it's reviews are okay. Why don't I buy it?

I look at my bank account. Yeah it's a close cut but I've been bored lately, I have nothing to lose!

I click on the bright red button, it's practically screaming at me.

I make it home and fall face first onto my bed, it was a tiring day. I should read the novel I just bought. Dinner isn't that important anyway.

I scroll down and read the synopsis.

Historical romance?

Not really into that… but hey, story's a story.

I'll just check the first chapter.

Okay maybe a few more.

Wait, what chapter am I on?

...Why is it morning?

I blink at the screen.

Final chapter.

The plot was horrendous. The main antagonist didn't get justice at all and the protagonist is The Crown Prince has a silver spoon in his mouth.

Honestly The Crown Prince acted more like an antagonist. He was evil, and he clearly had no empathy as he tortured the antagonist for simply existing.

Or that's what I personally thought...

I open the comments under the last chapter and I see everyone cheering as the antagonist meets his painful ending.

'Yes! Finally that good for nothing Wonder left!! We've been waiting for this day since the start of the novel!"

'No way he's gone I thought he'd try to pick a fight with The Crown Prince.'

'loved it when that lady poured the tea on his face he deserved it'

Huh? Why is everyone happy with this shitty ending? The antagonist didn't even do anything he was just born into a baron's household while everyone around him were from the duchy.

And every single thing he's done has been justified, he tried not to pick a fight with the crown prince but if he's clearly making fun of your outfit Infront of all the nobles obviously you are going to argue back.

Honestly at the end of the story I was livid! Why is a countess being so petty and throwing a cup of scolding hot tea at Wonder?! And why is The Crown Prince laughing at his misfortune? Even the heroine is giggling... His face is burned!

And get this. After everyone finishes laughing at him, Wonder politely asks to excuse himself and leave but The Crown Prince says no and pulls out a file full of his 'crimes'.

Wonder denies ever doing any of those heinous crimes but they don't even give him a chance to prove them wrong and he's imprisoned and commits suicide in his cell.

I look at the time, it's 7AM I thankfully have the day off. I rub my eyes and write a comment under the authors novel.

'Wonder didn't deserve anything that happened to him though? Why is The Crown Prince so... Un-prince like? He's just an evil person, not like the heroine is any better, she's dumb and too bubbly...'

I yawn and throw my phone on my bedside table and take a shower, I don't have the energy to sleep.

I get out of my shower half an hour later, and jump into my comfortable bed, it's a bit old but it works.

I pick up my phone and I see the author replied to one of my comments about Wonder!

'i see, thank you for the critique, but if you really care that much why don't you go write it yourself? It's MY story. I have no idea why you like Wonder so much?? Do you resonate with him or something?'

Okay so the author clearly does not like critique and she clearly does not like Wonder. Figures.

I get a 'ding!' on my phone, it's my paycheck... Finally! I can go eat something somewhat healthy instead of instant noodles or plain rice that is rationed to hell.

My stomach rumbles, i go to my closet, wear some casual clothes and I leave my apartment.

I see a promotion for a novel..! Oh it's the novel I just read about! What's it called again? 'The Crown Prince Loves Me! The Heroine!'

It's a stand giving physical copies for free with the authors signature... Shit I shouldn't have bought it yesterday then.

I walk up to the booth and I see the author chatting to someone cosplaying The Crown Prince.

"Oh my! I love your Alonzo cosplay! Thank you for supporting my work!" She hands him a copy of the book with Alonzo's face on it. The other side of the booth has Wonder's face on it, it looks like it's a chance thing.

I walk up to the stand, free stuff is free stuff right?

The author greets me, "hello there! Would you like a free copy of my novel?"

I nod and reply, "yes, I would love one, preferably the one with Wonders face on it over there" I point behind her.

"Oh.. uhm are you sure? I can only give one copy away you know!"

"Yes I'm sure, infact he's my favorite character"

"Seriously? Out of all my amazing characters.. okay whatever take it I guess."

I take the novel and I open it, even the authors signature looks ugly inside. Probably on purpose.

I walk across the street, I wanted to grab a bite to eat and then–

A car. Actually not a car. A truck.

A truck hit me. I hear screams and mothers telling their children to look away.

Hey.. it wouldn't be that bad dying right? It's not like I had anything to live for.

No mother.

No father.

No siblings.

No friends.

No pets.

Just me. And death.
