“You, you! How dare you… to me…!”
Duchess Soph paused as she tried to express her anger. She recalled what had happened a few days ago in the temple, of how Lady Dolce, who had been poisoned with the same substance as her, managed to survive thanks to some treatment.
“God’s power!”
Duchess Soph shouted at Sylvia, “You! What are you doing standing there?! Use God’s power on me, right now!”
It was unlikely that Sylvia, the one who poisoned her tea, would use God’s power to save her in the first place. But, confronted with the immediate prospect of death, Duchess Soph lost all reason.
“Hurry up, quickly!”
While nimbly avoiding the duchess who was rushing toward her, Sylvia replied, “I'm sorry, Your Grace, but I don't have my magic tool with me at the moment.”
However, a slight smirk, invisible to anyone else, flashed across Sylvia’s face as she feigned apology. Seeing this, Duchess Soph’s eyes blazed with fury.
